Predictive Analytics & Data Science Lead, US Oncology
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
- Establish the design and execution of AI/ML strategies to enable scalable personalization across HCP, patient, payer and medical engagements.
- Partner with commercial, digital, and omnichannel marketing teams to define use cases and integrate model-driven decisioning into business workflows.
- Architect and maintain personalization engines and frameworks (e.g., next-best-action, next-best-channel) to support dynamic targeting and content delivery.
- Collaborate with DDT to ensure models can be deployed in compliant, production-ready environments.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and refine machine learning models using structured and unstructured data sources including claims, EMR, CRM, digital interactions, and social media.
- Apply advanced statistical and ML techniques (e.g., clustering, classification, regression, NLP) to support targeting, segmentation, and engagement prediction.
- Employ AI/ML algorithms to predict patient events to identify opportunities. Furthermore, identify undiagnosed / misdiagnosed patients to drive targeted medical engagements.
- Ensure robust model validation, interpretability, and scalability using best practices and tools.
- Translate technical outputs into actionable insights for business stakeholders, enabling data-informed decisions.
- Explore ways to enrich patient data through AI techniques for enhanced stratification of patients by biomarker, line etc.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of personalization and AI-driven solutions.
- Ensure alignment between model outputs and business impact through controlled experiments and A/B testing.
- Work closely with analytics and marketing communities to quantify the ROI of AI/ML-driven personalization initiatives.
- Enable persona-based performance tracking by setting up self-serve capabilities powered by Gen AI

CORE ELEMENTS RELATED TO THIS ROLE
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML modeling, with at least 3 years in a pharmaceutical commercial analytics or healthcare setting.
- Strong technical expertise in machine learning, NLP, recommendation systems, and AI personalization use cases.
- Proficient in tools and languages such as Python, R, SQL, Spark, and familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with pharma data (e.g., IQVIA, Veeva, claims, digital marketing) and strong understanding of compliance and privacy considerations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex patient insights to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.

Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$153,600.00 - $241,340.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
