The Zurich Life Science Day – the largest career fair for Life Sciences in Switzerland with nearly 1000 participants from top local universities – saw on February 6, 2024 the active participation of Takeda, emphasizing the importance of engaging with prospective talent at an early stage in their professional development. Takeda was one of the top sponsors of the event, where it was represented by several colleagues from Talent Acquisition/HR and various business units and functions, including R&D.

The teams were delighted to see the considerable interest from students seeking insights into the company's recruitment process and career prospects. Marie-Amélie Da Costa, Head of Regional Talent for R&D commenting on the engagement, noted:

"We observed a high level of interest from students who were genuinely eager to learn more about Takeda and our recruitment process. This interaction served as an opportunity to provide clarity on who we are and connect with potential talents."

In addition to the recruitment aspect, Takeda’s R&D Zurich colleagues – Joan Carretero Mascaro, Barbara Mawhinney, Jin Vermaat, and Lorraine Madur – actively participated in the fair, addressing inquiries from students exploring potential career paths aligned with their interests. Barbara Mawhinney, Strategy & Business Operations Lead within the R&D Europe Regional Center (ERC) shared: "Students were keen on understanding the career opportunities available at Takeda, and our team provided insights into various roles within R&D. It was a valuable chance to raise awareness about our company and the diversity of career prospects."

Takeda’s participation in the Zurich Life Science Day was centered around fostering connections with students and enhancing its profile within the Swiss academic community. By engaging in conversations about recruitment processes and career possibilities, our colleagues aimed to create meaningful connections with potential future applicants and strengthen Takeda’s presence among the upcoming generation of professionals in the life sciences sector.
