Automation Manager
You will have an important role in the commitment to quality and efficient manufacturing of pharmaceutical products at the Takeda Grange Castle manufacturing site. As the Automation Manager you will be leading your team with flexibility and proactiveness in a highly regulated environment.
How you will contribute:
Lead and manage the existing team of Automation Engineers.
Provide automation support across all site manufacturing plants and site utility systems.
Be the system owner of the various site automation systems with responsibility for maintenance and service.
Manage and co-ordinate automation related projects.
Proactively manage the lifecycle of automation systems ensuring all systems are maintained on supported platforms.
Liaise with Global colleagues on various workgroups and communities of practice.
Champion digital initiatives.
In this position you will report to the Site Engineering Head.
What you bring to Takeda:
Honors degree in Automation, Electronics, Controls, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven leadership experience in managing and directing a technical team of engineers, ideally within a regulated environment, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Hands-on expertise in the specification, configuration, qualification, and management of Automation systems like DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
Strong knowledge of regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements in highly regulated industries.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and technical reporting skills.
Proven project management capability.
Practical experience in budget management, including both CAPEX and OPEX.
Well-organized, adaptable to change, and able to drive digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
