Warehouse Technologist

Job Purpose

The Warehouse Technologist is responsible for the efficient and compliant operation of warehouse activities, including waste management, receipt and sampling of materials, over-labelling, and the supply of materials to Production and Shipping. The role requires a high level of motivation, flexibility, and collaboration within the Logistics Department to support site operations in line with Takeda standards.

How You Will Contribute:

Warehouse Operations and Compliance

  • Operate and control warehouse activities in strict compliance with Takeda Ireland Ltd (TIL) procedures, cGMP, and Good Warehouse Practice

  • Ensure adherence to garbing and safety requirements at all times

  • Operate material handling equipment, including Fork Lift Trucks, Narrow Aisle Trucks, and other equipment as required

  • Pick and issue materials for sampling and production in accordance with the production schedule

  • Support sampling of incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality requirements

  • Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in line with SOPs

Housekeeping, Safety, and Documentation

  • Maintain warehouse areas to a high standard of cleanliness, ensuring work is carried out in a systematic, efficient, and compliant manner

  • Manage and dispose of waste materials in accordance with approved procedures

  • Accurately and timely complete all documentation, including use of scanners and computer systems to maintain inventory records within TIL systems

  • Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and actively participate in the site Safety Statement

  • Complete accident and near-miss reports in a timely manner

Continuous Improvement and Systems

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives

  • Contribute to the generation, review, and maintenance of relevant SOPs

  • Support the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of stock management and control systems

General Responsibilities

  • Participate fully in cross-functional training initiatives

  • Promote and role model Takeda values and Takeda-ism within the workplace

  • Foster a strong safety culture where safety is embedded as a core business value

  • Ensure timely completion of all required training, SOP reading, and assessments

  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Director, Supply Chain or designated site leadership

What You Bring to Takeda:

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent required

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment preferred

  • Previous warehouse experience is desirable

  • Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential

  • Ability to work at heights

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven team player with flexibility and a positive attitude

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Experience with SAP is desirable

  • Previous experience in a Lean / Six Sigma environment is an advantage
