Head of Business Excellence
This role combines high-impact leadership with measurable outcomes – delivering savings, value creation, COGS reduction, and future-ready capability – directly supporting Takeda’s mission and digital ambition. You will lead the site’s transformation agenda by deploying strategy and Takeda’s AGILE Operating System, embedding operational excellence, and strengthening KPI-driven performance to optimize manufacturing and business processes. You will oversee Operational Excellence, portfolio and project governance, and site learning while championing cross-functional change and a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
How you will contribute:
Own site strategy deployment with the Site Leadership Team, prioritizing key initiatives and aligning Business Excellence strategy to site and business unit objectives.
Lead site transformation by directing Operational Excellence programs using AOS and coaching Site Leadership Team, functions, and manufacturing teams.
Drive process, cost, and efficiency improvements by identifying opportunities and delivering standardized, sustainable improvements that build capability.
Establish strong governance and portfolio management by running tiered accountability, site governance routines, and monitoring project-portfolio performance.
Partner cross-functionally and manage stakeholders to align priorities and capture value.
Set and deliver the site learning agenda by ensuring GxP and non-GxP training compliance and executing a learning and reskilling roadmap with OL&CM to build future-ready capability.
Ensure compliance, safety, and performance transparency by integrating EHS, quality, and regulatory requirements, tracking and reporting site KPIs, closing performance gaps, and supporting audits and assessments.
In this position you will report to the Site Head - Singapore.
What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or business area required, advanced degree e.g., MBA preferred.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Quality, Supply Chain, or Operations.
Advanced knowledge of GxP manufacturing and regulated operations.
Expertise in Lean management and structured problem-solving, with a track record of measurable process and KPI improvement.
Strong project and program leadership, including managing complex initiatives and leading cross-functional teams with the ability to run multiple projects in parallel.
Strategic, analytical business mindset, including strong data interpretation and solid understanding of business operations and financial principles.
Strong leadership and communication skills, including organizational change management capability and fluency in English.

Takeda's Singapore biologics manufacturing facility focuses on manufacturing potentially life-saving medicines for patients suffering from rare blood disorders such as Hemophilia A and B. As part of the company’s Biologics Operating Unit network, the site is Takeda’s only biologics drug substance manufacturing facility in Asia. The facility has two buildings, including manufacturing suites and laboratories, as well as Takeda’s first positive energy building re-certified by Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark scheme in 2026.
