Job Description
We are seeking a Workforce Planning Product Analyst to support the design and delivery of workforce planning and forecasting capabilities at Takeda. This role sits at the intersection of data analysis and workforce strategy, focusing on transforming complex HR and business data into actionable insights and analytical tools.
This position is embedded within Takeda’s People Analytics and Capabilities team and requires deep engagement with HR use cases such as workforce planning, talent metrics, and strategic forecasting, ensuring insights are not only analytically rigorous, but practically meaningful for decision-making.
How you will contribute
Partner with HR and business stakeholders to support the development of workforce segmentation and understand their distribution across the organization.
Build and maintain workforce forecasts and contribute to modeling future-state scenarios based on business needs and external trends
Analyze persona-level gaps in skills, capacity, and talent availability to inform workforce planning and annual financial processes.
Support the design and development of data-driven tools (e.g., workforce segmentation frameworks, forecasting models, dashboards)
Gather, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources (HR systems, external data, financial datasets) to enable analyses
Ensure data quality, consistency, and appropriate handling of sensitive workforce data
Translate analytical outputs into clear summaries and insights for HR and business stakeholders
Communicate analytical insights, progress updates, and outputs to stakeholders, including leadership, in a clear and structured manner
Skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field (e.g., analytics, economics, data science, HR analytics) or equivalent experience
1–3+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or workforce/HR analytics (flexible depending on candidate profile)
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data and insights in a clear and structured way
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with structured datasets
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (R or Python preferred)
Proficiency communicating in English language is mandatory
Familiarity with Excel and experience creating structured analytical models or dashboards
Interest in building analytical tools or scalable frameworks (e.g., forecasting models, classification logic)
Experience incorporating AI-enabled approaches into analytical workflows or data products to improve efficiency and insights
Exposure to workforce planning, forecasting, or scenario modeling concepts is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple data sources in a changing environment with some ambiguity
