Job Description

Player-coach delivery: Produce high-quality, discovery-based learning (Bloom modules, facilitator guides, micro-learning, assessments, labs). Expect to spend significant time creating content alongside mentoring the team.

Curriculum ownership & roadmap execution: Translate strategy into a prioritized Digital Dexterity content roadmap; own the delivery cadence, versioning and lifecycle for the curriculum and toolkits.

Quality gate & acceptance: Act as the team’s quality gate — ensure instructional integrity, technical accuracy, accessibility, localization readiness and alignment to Takeda standards before release.

Coaching & capability building: Mentor IDs and Learning Analysts on adult learning approaches, hands-on lab design, AI prompt artefacts, and tool-specific enablement; run regular reviews, learning clinics and standards sessions.

Operational enablement & governance: Manage content production pipelines (authoring tools, Bloom, vendor relationships), schedule delivery, and ensure compliance with data/privacy/security requirements for labs and AI artifacts.

Stakeholder & change leadership: Build trusted relationships with DD&T leaders, Global Learning, IT/product owners and regional L&D; lead adoption planning, pilot evaluations and local roll-outs (champion programs, office hours).

Hands-on SME collaboration: Work with SMEs to convert complex/technical Digital Dexterity topics into practical, task-based learning and performance support (automation templates, prompt libraries, sandbox data).

Measure & iterate: Define success metrics (adoption, time-to-proficiency, learning effectiveness, stakeholder satisfaction), monitor outcomes and apply continuous improvement to content and delivery.

Escalation & strategic alignment: Serve as the primary operational escalation point for the team, and ensure work aligns to the global DD&T learning strategy and Head’s priorities.

Technical / Functional Skills

Deep expertise in adult learning theory and discovery-based/experiential instructional design.

Strong demonstrable experience with digital learning design (Bloom/LXP, authoring tools such as Articulate/Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and virtual ILT).

Hands-on experience building practical labs, templates and sandbox environments; ability to own technical validation or coordinate with Learning Analysts for the same.

Solid working knowledge of productivity and collaboration platforms (Office 365/Teams/SharePoint), Power Platform (Power Automate/Power BI), and common collaboration apps (Miro, Smartsheet) and/or practical experience with LLMs/everyday AI and prompt engineering.

Proven coach experience: mentoring, setting standards, providing feedback, and maintaining quality of all deliverables.

Experience managing content production processes, vendor relationships and budgets.

Comfortable interpreting learning analytics and translating findings into content changes and operational decisions.

Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills across matrixed/global organizations.

Behavioural Competencies

Player-Coach mindset: invests in people, models high standards, and gives frequent, practical feedback.

Pragmatic and delivery-oriented: balances ideal design with timely, usable solutions.

Strong communicator: simplifies complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Collaborative change agent: drives adoption and influences cross-functional partners.

Attention to detail and risk awareness (data handling, AI safety, regulatory requirements).

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Human Resources, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 6+ years’ experience in learning & development/digital learning with at least 3 years designing digital, discovery-based curriculum and 2+ years in a senior lead role (player-coach experience strongly preferred).

Fluent in English – required.

Proven portfolio of digital learning assets, facilitator packs, and hands-on labs or practical enablement artifacts.

Demonstrable experience with LXP/LMS (Bloom/EdCast or equivalent) and content authoring tools.

Willingness and ability to travel regularly across hubs (Mexico ↔ India and occasional Cambridge visits).

Desirable

Certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Power Platform, L&D credentials).

Prior experience in life sciences / regulated environments and familiarity with policy/compliance impacts on training.

Prior experience creating AI prompt libraries and practical LLM use cases.
