THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA Developer to support the team in designing and developing SAP S/4HANA solutions based on functional requirements as part of Takeda’s internal SAP S/4HANA transformation (TAKAMI project). This is a fixed-term maternity cover role for approximately one year.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop SAP S/4HANA solutions based on functional requirements.
  • Work closely with SAP functional consultants to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance SAP functionality.
  • Write technical design documents; perform unit testing, code reviews and documentation approvals aligned with governance activities.
  • Coach, train, and mentor others to increase their proficiency in the latest S/4HANA‑related technologies and practices.
  • Propose robust solutions to meet functional and business needs.
  • Build professional relationships with team members and clients to ensure successful delivery of proposed solutions.
  • Ensure IT Service Management for Delivery Services meets the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) agreed with stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the IT environment complies with all applicable regulatory, quality, legal, and compliance requirements, including software licensing and data protection regulations (e.g. DPA, GDPR).
  • Ensure all development is delivered in accordance with applicable compliance requirements, such as JSOX, GxP, and Takeda guidelines.
  • Provide technical guidance to externally‑driven projects to ensure alignment with Takeda standards and guidelines.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of IT experience.
  •  Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with SAP Fiori, RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and S/4HANA.
  • Proven development experience across the full lifecycle of major application implementations, from project initiation through handover to operations.
  • Ability to understand and design end‑to‑end technical solutions, from requirements gathering and technical design to development, transport, and deployment across the SAP landscape, ensuring compliance with development and regulatory standards.
  • Strong communication, data management, analytical, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Visible team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with HANA database and SAP BTP based-extensions.
  • Knowledge of integration platforms and tools such as SAP PI/PO, ALE, CPI, along with strong legacy ABAP expertise across multiple SAP solution areas such as SD, MM, PM, FI, CO, etc.

Salary: As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 3950 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
