Job Description
About the Role
Join Takeda’s GSQ Transformation Office as Transformation Methodology Lead and play a key role in shaping how transformation is planned, governed, delivered, and sustained across the organization.
In this role, you will define and continuously evolve the transformation methodology, standards, governance practices, and delivery framework that enable consistent, transparent, and results-oriented execution across the transformation portfolio. You will help establish a common way of working across sites and functions, strengthen delivery discipline, and ensure that transformation initiatives are supported by clear processes, reliable data, and effective decision-making.
You will work closely with the Transformation PMO, Transformation Enablement Lead, site and cross-functional transformation teams, Finance, and senior business leaders to ensure the methodology is practical, scalable, and embedded into day-to-day execution.
Your ability to balance structure with agility will be critical: you will drive consistency and accountability without creating unnecessary bureaucracy, enabling teams to move faster while maintaining the standards required in a regulated environment.
How You Will Contribute
Methodology, Frameworks & Standards
- Define, build, and maintain the end-to-end transformation methodology, including lifecycle stages, decision points, templates, standards, and quality gates.
- Establish a common delivery framework and minimum standards for transformation initiatives across sites and functions.
- Define standards for business case development, scope definition, milestone planning, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, benefits realization, and performance reporting.
- Ensure transformation initiatives are structured, measurable, and aligned with Takeda’s strategic priorities, with clear ownership and accountability.
- Continuously assess and evolve the operating model, methodology, and standards to meet changing transformation needs.
- Support the consistent use of portfolio metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting to improve transparency and enable informed decision-making.
Governance & Delivery Excellence
- Establish clear governance routines, decision rights, escalation paths, and accountability mechanisms across the transformation portfolio.
- Lead the operating rhythm for methodology reviews, governance checkpoints, and exception management.
- Enable leaders to make timely, informed decisions by ensuring that risks, issues, dependencies, and performance insights are surfaced with the right data and context.
- Monitor adherence to agreed methodologies and identify opportunities to strengthen controls, standards, and governance.
- Drive standardization and simplification of processes and ways of working to reduce complexity and accelerate delivery.
- Identify recurring delivery challenges and translate them into improvements to standards, governance, and methodology.
- Promote disciplined execution while maintaining a pragmatic, outcome-focused approach.
Data, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Support data cleaning, ontology alignment, and master data readiness to ensure transformation teams can plan, track, and report using accurate and well-structured information.
- Ensure the transformation methodology enables compliant, well-documented execution within a regulated environment.
- Maintain version control and accessible knowledge assets to enable consistent adoption of standards and best practices.
- Capture lessons learned and translate them into methodology enhancements, reusable tools, and improved ways of working.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality, accountability, and high performance.
- Enable sustainable adoption by supporting the transition of methodology ownership into the business.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience developing or implementing transformation methodologies, PMO standards, governance frameworks, or structured delivery models.
- 5+ years of experience in the global pharmaceutical industry or another highly regulated environment.
- Strong digital fluency, including experience with Microsoft Power Platform such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate data and insights into practical improvements.
- Ability to quickly understand complex business environments and translate new insights into effective methodologies and ways of working.
- Results-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently and driving initiatives with limited supervision.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- PMI or equivalent project management certification and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher are preferred.
- Demonstrated alignment with Takeda’s values and leadership behaviors, including ownership, collaboration, integrity, and a patient-focused mindset.
