About the Role
As FEED Lead Facilities & Utilities, you will serve as the global authority for facility, utility, infrastructure, and plant layout design within Takeda Global Engineering. You will define and govern engineering strategies during early investment and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phases, ensuring robust, scalable, sustainable, and decision-grade concepts across Takeda's global manufacturing network.
Working across projects, sites, and global engineering teams, you will shape the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities by driving standardization, sustainability, and engineering excellence across Takeda's worldwide CAPEX portfolio.
How You Contribute
Act as the global authority for Facilities & Utilities engineering standards, methodologies, and design principles across FEED and early investment projects.
Define and govern global frameworks for facility layouts, cleanroom concepts, HVAC strategies, utility systems, and infrastructure design.
Provide expert guidance on critical engineering decisions involving clean and black utilities, plant layouts, system redundancy, and infrastructure resilience.
Establish technical quality standards for key FEED deliverables, including facility concepts, zoning strategies, utility architectures, and sustainability assumptions.
Drive innovation in facility and utility engineering by evaluating emerging technologies, modularization approaches, and energy-efficient solutions.
Challenge technical assumptions and proactively manage risks related to constructability, operational complexity, utility capacity, and lifecycle performance.
Provide technical leadership and decision authority during design governance reviews and major investment decisions.
Build and strengthen global Facilities & Utilities capabilities through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and the implementation of reusable standards and best practices.
What You Bring to Takeda
Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Civil, Building Services, Utilities, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience within pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or similarly regulated manufacturing environments.
Proven expertise in FEED, concept development, facilities design, utilities engineering, infrastructure planning, or front-end engineering activities.
Strong experience defining and governing HVAC, cleanroom, utility, infrastructure, and sustainability standards across multiple projects or manufacturing sites.
Deep understanding of clean and black utility systems, facility layouts, cleanroom concepts, energy performance, and infrastructure resilience.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across global, cross-functional organizations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex engineering topics into clear business decisions and investment recommendations.
A collaborative and innovative mindset with a passion for sustainability, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.
