About the Role
Are you passionate about developing high-performing Medical Affairs organisations and enabling teams to deliver greater impact? As the Global Medical Excellence Lead – CIS & Israel, you will act as the strategic link between Global Medical Excellence and local medical teams, ensuring global capability programmes translate into meaningful outcomes across the cluster.
Working closely with Medical, Commercial, Training, and Compliance stakeholders, you will help strengthen medical capabilities, accelerate onboarding, improve field medical effectiveness, and support launch readiness. You will also bring local insights into global initiatives, helping shape future Medical Excellence strategies and programmes.
How You Will Contribute
Partner with Medical leadership to identify capability needs, prioritise development initiatives, and implement Medical Excellence programmes aligned with business priorities.
Assess organisational and field medical capabilities, identify development opportunities, and contribute local insights to improve global Medical Excellence programmes.
Lead and coordinate onboarding programmes for new Medical Affairs colleagues, ensuring a high-quality and consistent learning experience.
Drive field medical excellence by implementing performance frameworks, capability assessments, and certification programmes that support MSL effectiveness and development.
Collaborate with Medical, Commercial, and Training teams to align field medical activities and engagement approaches with launch and business priorities.
Support launch readiness by ensuring Medical teams have the capabilities, training, and resources required to successfully deliver upcoming launches.
Partner with Governance, Ethics & Compliance teams to promote compliant ways of working and provide market insights on key Medical processes and standards.
Build strong cross-functional partnerships across local, regional, and global stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate for the CIS & Israel cluster within the wider Global Medical Excellence network.
What You Bring to Takeda
Degree in a scientific, healthcare, medical, or related discipline; an advanced qualification (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) is advantageous.
8+ years of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry, including substantial experience in Medical Affairs.
Experience in Medical Excellence, capability development, medical education, or related Medical Affairs leadership roles.
Strong understanding of field medical organisations, MSL effectiveness, capability building, performance measurement, and launch readiness.
Experience working across local, regional, and global organisations within a matrix environment.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior Medical and commercial stakeholders without direct authority.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently while balancing local market needs with global strategic priorities.
Location: While a primary location is identified for this role, qualified candidates located in Russia, Belarus, or Kazakhstan may also be considered, subject to business needs, role requirements, talent availability, and local legal requirements.
