Job Description
Objective / Purpose:
The Supply Chain Management, Senior Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing various aspects of the supply chain process. This role focuses on developing and implementing strategies to improve logistics, inventory planning, and overall supply chain efficiency, contributing to Takeda's mission of delivering better health and a brighter future.
How you will contribute:
- Manage large projects or processes with limited oversight
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain process
- Address capacity issues and production location decisions
- Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals
- Engage with key contacts outside your expertise area and contribute to the development of new concepts and standards
- Serve as a consultant to management and an external spokesperson on major matters
- Train and mentor junior staff
Skills and qualifications:
- Fully independent in executing supply chain analysis, capable of handling highly complex situations and mentoring others on improving supply chain efficiency.
- Advanced understanding of purchasing, capable of handling highly complex procurement tasks and advising others.
- Fully proficient in executing Continuous Improvement Process strategies in highly complex situations, capable of advising and coaching others on best practices and improvements.
- Fully proficient in SAP Applications, can operate in highly complex situations, improve workflows, and provide guidance to others.
- Expertly navigates complex negotiations, advises others on negotiation strategies, and contributes to the improvement of negotiation practices.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, capable of handling complex database tasks, optimizing queries, and mentoring others in best practices.
- Fully independent in executing program management tasks, capable of handling highly complex situations and coaching others.
- Fully understands and independently executes Material Requirements Planning, capable of coaching others and applying knowledge in highly complex situations.
- Applies critical thinking in highly complex situations, capable of making improvement recommendations and guiding others in analytical processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, capable of handling complex data visualization challenges and coaching others on its use.
- Highly skilled in Tableau, capable of tackling complex data visualization challenges and providing guidance to others.
- Leads demand planning initiatives, capable of handling complex forecasting scenarios, advises on demand planning strategies, and improves processes.
As an expert professional within the organization, you develop innovative solutions to complex problems aligned with organizational objectives. Your work involves addressing intricate issues, requiring in-depth analysis and judgment. You also engage with key contacts outside your expertise area and contribute to the development of new concepts and standards. Operating with considerable autonomy, you serve as a consultant to management and an external spokesperson on major matters, often working independently and leading function teams or projects. Additionally, you play a role in training and mentoring junior staff.

Lexington, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$137,000.00 - $215,270.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
