The Opportunity
As Data Engineer Professional II, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data systems and constructing data tables and data models that are optimized for operations and analysis, supporting several Business Function requirements and downstream systems.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable data models and pipelines using AWS native technologies to support increasing data sources, volumes, and complexity.
Collaborate with several business functions to improve data models and its quality to support the development of digital products, fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Implement processes and systems to ensure data reconciliation, monitor data quality, and ensure production data is accurate and available for key stakeholders, downstream systems, digital products, and business processes.
Write unit, integration, and performance test scripts, contribute to engineering documentation, and maintain the engineering wiki.
Perform data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
Work closely with AGILE SCRUM Teams, specifically frontend and backend engineers, product managers, scrum masters, quality engineers to deliver integrated and scalable data products.
Collaborate with enterprise teams, including Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Enterprise Data Backbone Engineering, to design and develop data integration patterns and models supporting various digital products.
Partner with DevOps and the Cloud Center of Excellence to deploy data pipeline solutions in the Takeda AWS environments, meeting security and performance standards.
Support and align with Data Trustees, Data Stewards, and Master Data Management functions following Data Governance principles.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, data warehousing, data lake/mesh, and supporting digital products developing data products following FAIR data principles.
Strong expertise in data integration, data modeling, and modern database technologies (GraphQL, SQL, No-SQL, python, pySpark) and AWS cloud technologies (e.g., DMS, Lambda, Databricks, SQS, Step Functions, Data Streaming).
Extensive experience in DBA, schema design & dimensional modeling, and SQL optimization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Understanding of good engineering practices (DevSecOps, source-code versioning using GIT)
Proficient working in AGILE SCRUM Teams and using JIRA and Confluence
Knowledge of SDLC Proficiency with version control (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Good understanding of software security principles and secure coding practices.
Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks and practices (unit testing, integration testing, E2E testing).
Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
Understanding & practice with Github Copilot / Claude Code / other
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with streaming technologies like Spark Streaming or Kafka
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, preferably with Terraform.
Experience designing and developing API data integrations using SOAP / REST / FAST.

THE OPPORTUNTY
As a Business Analyst II, you will take ownership of business analysis activities of medium to high complexity, working closely with stakeholders who will rely on your expertise and judgment. You will lead the gathering, analysis and documentation of reporting and analytics specifications, while also understanding how source systems data enables these specifications. You will delegate fewer complex tasks to junior colleagues and supporting their development. You will keep documentation for your assigned solutions accurate and up to date, ensuring it reflects reality and supports smooth delivery. In your day-to-day work, you will partner closely with development teams, product/platform owners, QA and other key stakeholders to validate user stories, review QA results and drive high-quality outcomes for our digital solutions.
Responsibilities:
Ensure backlog refinement and preparation for development
Drive scoping and definition of complex features
Conduct refinement, grooming, and execution on user stories
Acquire subject matter expertise by studying relevant internal documentation, working with stakeholders, and industry literature
Provide support to the Product Owner/Product Manager in prioritizing the development team backlog in alignment with Chief Product Owner directives
Partner with stakeholders e.g. Engagement and Product Owners to understand client business needs and pain points with the intention to write user stories that address those needs.
Work closely with product Owners, developers and testers to ensure that written requirements are clearly stated, and comprehensive.
Offer input toward roadmap creation for future product development
Demonstrate product features and act as a subject matter expert in customer-facing presentations
Work with the team to deliver precise estimates on feature development
Contribute to the creation of next-generation product documentation
Provide continuous updates during project delivery; communicate changes, risks, issues and ambiguities in a timely manner.
Guide and support junior members of chapter when necessary.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Must-have requirements
3–5 years of experience in Business Analysis
Experience in a Lean/Agile development environment
Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
Strong end-to-end BA skills: gathering, analysing and documenting business and system requirements
Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria
Proficient in analysing data (Excel - pivot tables, advanced formulas, SQL)
Experience working with multiple systems and documenting data flows / system interactions
Understanding of Finance concepts (e.g: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Understanding of core Finance processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash) and ability to analyse financial data to support business decision-making.
Highly organized; able to break down complex problems and set priorities
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization
Fluency in English
Nice to have requirements
Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and visualization
Exposure to ARIBA and SAP
Knowledge of Procurement, Supplier processes and systems

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 3050 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
