Job Description
The Opportunity
As a Software Test Lead, you'll use your technical, teamwork and team leading skills, knowledge of testing and test automation, DevSecOps tools and methods to help deploy and improve our solutions. You will align and integrate well with testers, developers, engineers, analysts, scrum masters, delivery managers and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate various testing activities.
- Review user stories and evaluate their acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with others to recognize the potential for any operational issues, assess risks, and help to resolve issues before the new software is complete.
- Cooperate with other teams to understand full end-to-end use-cases to meet cross-functional requirements.
- Define, inform, and educate the team on best practices for test-driven development, automated testing methodologies, development workflow improvements, continuous integration/deployment, and release management.
- Create test approaches, test plans, test scenarios, test cases and automated test scripts for new or changed software.
- Implement software tests, using either manual or automated approaches, as well as exploratory testing.
- Run diverse sets of tests on new or changed software products to ensure they satisfy all specifications and requirements and evaluate results.
- Help in developing automation for testing.
- Write detailed, high quality defect reports for any issues encountered during testing activities.
- Provide feedback to team members and stakeholders regarding usability and functionality and provide understandable test reports.
- End to end ownership of the testing activities including providing signoff for the software releases.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or other relevant work experience.
- 10+ years of relevant professional hands-on experience in software testing on agile projects with a focus on team leading and test automation (preferably using tools such as Jira, qTest & Tosca).
- Experience in testing MarTech solutions, particularly in the life sciences sector.
- Experience in testing Digital Asset Management and MLR platforms. Any experience with Aprimo, Veeva, Shaman, Power BI Dashboards, etc. is a plus.
- Experience with test planning and set-up of test strategies.
- Experience in testing web services.
- Solid experience with relational databases and/or NoSQL.
- Good experience with testing in the cloud.
- Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills.
- Able to collaborate across multiple time zones.
