Job Description

The GCM Organizational Change Management Lead is responsible for leading and enabling transformation across the Global Capability Model (GCM). The role provides strategic partnership and executive leadership support on change management topics and drives best in class change to empower the central GCM team and equip business unit/functional teams to achieve their transformative GCM objectives in a sustainable manner. The role also drives and supports engagement to align different stakeholders with the organization's vision and goals during the transformation, ensuring alignment across GCM.

Change Management

  • Create and implement tailored change management strategies and plans that maximize buy-in, adoption, and trust, and minimize resistance.
  • Monitor and measure progress of change initiatives, using metrics and feedback to assess success and make necessary adjustments.
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to change management and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Establish mechanisms to collect feedback from stakeholders and adjust strategies based on this feedback.
  • Serve as a senior point of escalation for change enablement for the program.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Identify and engage key stakeholders, ensuring their support and addressing their concerns throughout the transformation process.
  • Create and implement tailored engagement strategies that maximize the visibility of the program, building trust, understanding, and a strong reputation.
  • Engage stakeholders across the broader organization to build common understanding and shared objectives.

Leadership

  • Ensure that the leadership team is aligned and committed to the transformation goals and supports the change initiatives.
  • Think long-term and strategically to align change initiatives with transformation goals and provide guidance for planning and execution in collaboration with relevant parties.
  • Build strong relationships to positively influence outcomes and affect change, including acting as a strategic thought partner for senior and executive leaders.
  • Lead, make decisions, and advise independently on all change management matters, escalating only as appropriate.

Communications

  • Partner with the global communications team on communications plans that outline the messaging, timing, and channels for effective communication to all stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across geographies and cultures, both within Takeda and with external organizations, with a high level of influence to encourage adoption of change initiatives.

Employee Enablement

  • Ensure both in-change enablement tactics (learning, communications, etc.) and the use of emerging and innovative technologies and methodologies to support adoption of GCM.
  • Drive energy and excitement for GCM and its transformative impact on the organization.

Innovation

  • Actively explore and apply AI and emerging technologies to enhance change enablement delivery, including the use of generative AI for communications, training, and stakeholder engagement at scale.

Complexity

  • Manage change management across multiple businesses and regions, considering audience needs, diversity & inclusion, and cultural differences.
  • Understand how a global organization operates and be comfortable influencing without authority.
  • Operate across a range of communications media and communities in a fast-paced, dynamic program environment.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Organizational Change Management or Human Resources.
  • Demonstrated success in leading OCM in large-scale transformation projects.
  • Experience in managing organizational change in various contexts (e.g., mergers, capability model implementations).
  • Experience in change management for global capability models.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and change networks.
  • Experience in business partnering, providing a support service internally to business stakeholders.
  • Experience leading change management in the context of AI, automation, or digital transformation programs, with the ability to help stakeholders understand and adapt to AI-driven shifts in ways of working.
  • Experience establishing strategic vision with business leaders across complex landscapes.

Technical Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of change management and communications best practice.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled change management tools and platforms (e.g., AI-driven stakeholder sentiment analysis, digital adoption platforms, generative AI for communications and training content development).
  • Up to date on change enablement trends, particularly those that affect large healthcare organizations and global capability models.
  • Ability to analyze a wide variety of data and make appropriate decisions.
  • Solid IT skills and a quick learner; open to new ways of working and applying new methodologies.

Behavioral Competencies

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate ideas and data in a persuasive and appropriate manner.
  • Ability to lead change in a cross-functional organization and work successfully in multi-cultural teams.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key local and global stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Travel Requirements

  • Flexibility to travel to countries/regions where necessary

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related specialization area (e.g., Change Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Training) is required.
