Role Summary

The Data Product Lead for the OneData Portal is responsible for driving the operational excellence, governance enablement, and continuous evolution of the data portal as a core enterprise data product. This role ensures seamless coordination of Data Quality and Data Catalog workstreams, oversees enhancements and support activities, and partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver a trusted, wellmanaged, and highvalue data platform.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Domain Activation & BAU Operations

  • Oversee the Business-as-Usual (BAU) operational process for domain activation within the OneData ecosystem.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding of new data domains, coordinating across data governance, engineering, quality, and business teams.
  • Monitor ongoing domain operations and ensure compliance with data governance standards and data product principles.

2. Coordinate Data Quality & Data Catalog Activities

  • Drive coordination of Data Quality activities, including monitoring, issue resolution, remediation planning, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead alignment and updates within the Data Catalog, ensuring metadata accuracy, completeness, and alignment with governance rules.
  • Partner with Data Stewards, Data Owners, and technical teams to maintain a consistent and highquality data landscape.

3. Manage Enhancements & Support (E&S) for the OneData Portal

  • Own the Enhancement & Support (E&S) stream for the OneData Portal, ensuring timely handling of incidents, service requests, and platform improvements.
  • Act as the business interface for prioritizing enhancements, ensuring high‑value outcomes and continuous user experience improvements.
  • Plan and coordinate release cycles, communicate updates to stakeholders, and track delivery performance.

4. Govern Enhancement Requests for Data Governance Capabilities

  • Own intake, assessment, and prioritization of enhancements related to Data Governance and Data Governance capabilities—including Data Quality, Data Catalog, and other governance tooling components.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements and collaborate with platform and engineering teams for implementation.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, and metadata management.
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms or portals (e.g., OneData, Collibra, Informatica, etc.).
  • Ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams and drive operational processes.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in product ownership or product management is a strong advantage.

Education, Behavioral Competencies, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or data platform development.
  • Strong experience developing data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using modern data engineering tools and frameworks.
  • Experience working with SQL and large-scale data processing frameworks.
  • Experience with data platforms such as Databricks, Spark, or similar distributed processing systems.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Experience implementing data quality validation, monitoring, and data pipeline orchestration.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience supporting analytics, reporting, and data science teams with curated datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work in Agile environments and adapt to evolving data requirements.
