THE OPPORTUNTY
As a Business Analyst I, you will independently manage business analysis activities for low to medium complexity initiatives, working closely with stakeholders who will rely on your expertise and judgment. You will drive the analysis and documentation of software specifications while ensuring requirements are accurate, complete, and aligned with business objectives. You will keep documentation for your assigned applications accurate and up to date, ensuring it reflects reality and supports smooth delivery. In your day-to-day work, you will partner closely with development teams, product/platform owners, QA and other key stakeholders to validate user stories, review QA results and support the successful delivery of high-quality digital solutions. You will also contribute to backlog refinement, solution discussions, and continuous improvement activities within Agile delivery teams.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business needs into user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria for assigned initiatives.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, planning, grooming, and reviews.
- Conduct refinement, grooming, and support execution activities related to user stories
- Support the Product Owner/Product Manager in prioritizing and maintaining the sprint backlog
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and pain points and prioritise and translate them into user stories and functional requirements.
- Work closely with product Owners, developers and testers to ensure that requirements are clearly defined, comprehensive, and testable.
- Work with the team to support feature estimation and requirement clarification activities.
- Contribute to the creation of product and process documentation.
- Provide trainings to stakeholders.
- Provide continuous updates during project delivery and communicate changes, risks, issues and ambiguities in a timely manner.
- Continuously engage with stakeholders to demonstrate and validate developed functionality.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Must-have requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis
- Experience in a Lean/Agile development environment
- Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
- Knowledge of Medical Affairs.
- Understanding of how all Medical Affairs teams function.
- Knowledge of Veeva Vault or any Content Management System functionality.
- Strong understanding BA practices including : gathering, analysing and documenting business and system requirements
- Highly organized; able to break down complex problems and set priorities
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have requirements
- Relevant certifications in Business Analysis or Agile methodologies (ECBA, CCBA, BCS, Scrum, or similar)
- Experience and exposure to Life Science/Healthcare/pharmaceutical industry environments preferred, including working within regulated environments.
