Job Description

Job Title: Supply Chain Associate Manager

Location: Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur

About the role: 

  •  Responsible to execute required supply chain activities in LOC with adherence to local-regional-global standards.
  • Connect with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely response to supply challenges.
  • Ensure objectives alignment with Line Manager, within department and cross-functionally.
  • Support supply chain planning strategy as required by company.

How you will contribute: 

Demand Planning

  • Drive continuous improvements with cross functional team and supplying sites on demand forecasting and replenishment planning to ensure continuous product supply in line with contractual inventory level at optimized cost.
  • Manage monthly demand forecast uploaded in SAP IBP/APO in collaboration with regional team & supplying sites.
  • Manage forecast accuracy achievement by markets.
  • Collaborate closely with FP&A team on revenue planning.

Inventory Management

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain of goods for sale.
  • Manage slow moving stocks to minimize stock obsolescence.
  • Identify, communicate and resolve short and mid-term supply issues in collaboration with regional team & supplying sites.
  • Monitor and manage distributor & suppliers’ (including freight forwarder) performance.
  • Perform annual stock count with external auditor; stock inspection; etc. as and when required.
  • Stock conversion (e.g. repacking; redressing (e.g. Patient Assistance Programme (PAP) and samples); buffer to trade stock transfer; etc.) and branch transfer request.
  • Monthly Ops Review with Distributors for performance monitoring, process improvement and solve any issues that requires immediate actions.
  • 4PL management.

Internal Control

  • Ensure proper record of documentation to facilitate internal & external audits.
  • Attend and participate in company internal & external audit related to supply chain.

Cross Functions Collaboration

  • Initiate monthly cross function meeting [e.g. Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) and Demand Review] to align company financial and operational objectives.
  • Work closely with Regulatory Affairs & Quality Affairs (RA & QA) team on product related matters, e.g. product recall; labelling change; product complaints; etc.
  • Collaborate with Finance team to ensure financial landing alignment.
  • Support network transfer, divestiture, site change, projects and product life cycle management.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to provide essential support during new product launches.

Others

  • Monthly distributors and related suppliers’ billing documents verification.
  • Prepare & support any other ad hoc reporting or projects as required.

Specific Competencies: -

  • Strong communication & problems solving skill
  • Process enhancement: Process Improvement and alignment with regional is preferred.

What you bring to Takeda: 

  • Possess bachelor’s degree in business / supply chain / any related fields.
  • At least 5 years of supply chain experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in demand planning, logistic, inventory management with good reporting & presentation skill.
  • Mature and dependable person who demonstrates leadership and capability in dealing with cross functional team and corporate management.
  • Organized and systematic in planning and execution.
  • Result oriented, solution driven mindset and capable of making decision.
  • Analytical and shows business acumen, acts as a finance business partner to management.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
