Job Description
Job Purpose
The Senior Logistics Technologist plays a key role in supporting TILGC’s commitment to quality, compliance, and efficient manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role provides guidance and support to the warehouse team to ensure logistics activities are carried out accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities may vary depending on assignment across plants; however, the role requires the ability to work independently in a demanding, highly regulated environment. Delivering manufacturing and logistics targets in compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements is a primary focus of the position.
How you will contribute :
Operations
- Perform logistics duties as assigned across all areas of operations.
- Ensure smooth inward and outward flow of materials, including:
- Goods receipt and sampling
- Offloading of tankers
- Preparation and staging of materials for production
- Handling and storage of finished products
- Shipment of products off-site
- Execute logistics activities in accordance with TILGC quality standards, cGMP, GWP, SOPs, and HSE regulations.
- Promote teamwork and effective two-way communication within logistics and across TILGC.
- Complete allocated tasks efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation and timely escalation of deviations.
- Operate and maintain forklifts, narrow aisle trucks, and other material handling equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through:
- Right-first-time material receipts
- Timely and accurate stock transactions
- Continuous cycle counting
- Monthly inventory reporting
- Support solid and liquid waste handling processes in line with site procedures.
- Support procurement activities by:
- Monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages
- Creating purchase orders
- Managing supplier relationships
- Maintaining internal purchasing systems
- Assist with improvements related to process flow, material handling, documentation, and inventory systems.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in all logistics areas.
- Participate in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and change initiatives.
- Complete all required logistics documentation accurately and on time.
- Promptly report deviations, abnormalities, or observations to the Logistics Executive or designated responsible person.
Quality Systems & GMP
- Ensure all logistics operations comply with TILGC quality standards, cGMP, GWP, and HSE requirements.
- Complete documentation such as SOP records, logbooks, labels, BMRs, and EHS records accurately and on time.
- Support the preparation, review, and maintenance of SOPs, labels, logbooks, and regulatory documentation.
- Seek guidance when unsure about procedures or unusual observations.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
- Promote a proactive culture of safety awareness.
- Comply fully with all HSE policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Report HSE incidents, hazards, and policy breaches promptly.
- Complete Unplanned Event documentation in a timely manner.
- Participate as a member of the site Emergency Response Team.
- Manage and dispose of waste streams according to approved site procedures.
Housekeeping
- Apply a “clean as you go” approach to maintain a tidy and compliant workplace.
- Complete assigned housekeeping tasks, including cleaning of process and ancillary areas.
Training & Development
- Participate in all required internal and external training activities.
- Complete SOP, Emergency Response Team (ERT), and First Aid training on time.
- Ensure training records are accurately documented in accordance with site procedures.
General Responsibilities
- Participate actively in cross-functional training initiatives.
- Demonstrate and promote Takeda-ism and corporate values.
- Support a strong safety culture, including timely completion of accident and near-miss reports.
- Ensure completion of all SOPs, readings, training, and assessments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
