Our obligation to environmental stewardship and sustainable business directly aligns with our values of Takeda-ism and Patient-Trust-Reputation-Business. In this way, environmental stewardship becomes one more way that we work to fulfil our vision and our purpose of building better health for people and a brighter future for the world.

In Ireland, our manufacturing sites use 100% renewable energy and are working towards a carbon neutral future. A zero-carbon roadmap is currently in place for both Bray and Grange Castle, managed by their Carbon Abatement Programmes. This roadmap includes internal energy conservation measures, procurement of green energy, investment in renewable energy certificates, and high-quality verified carbon offsets. Additionally, we have a partnership with the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan to try to create an Ireland where pollinators can survive and thrive.

To help support employees on their sustainability journey, we have increased our electric vehicle charging capacity across all four sites, retrofitting parking spaces with charging ports where needed.
