Commercial Leadership Development Program
Continuous Evolution. Endless Possibilities.
We are building future leaders with commercial competencies who can thrive, grow and realize their potential while enabling our purpose through our Commercial Leadership Development Program (CLDP). CLDP associates strengthen their understanding of our organization and the complex global industry while gaining experience across the US Business Unit through a three-month summer internship and two nine-month rotational assignments.

2025 Summer Associates

2025 Full-Time Associates
Internship Program - 12 Weeks
Supported by a commercial leader at Takeda, first-year MBA students in our CLDP internship gain hands-on experience in pharmaceutical product management. By the end of the summer, associates will have developed a strong understanding of marketing and sales within the pharmaceutical industry.
Rotational Programs - 18 Months
Through two rotational assignments, our program offers valuable exposure, a deeper understanding of our business and the opportunity to refine leadership skills. We take pride in providing roles that deliver meaningful, hands-on experience in a commercial setting, ensuring practical engagement with real-world responsibilities.
Each nine-month rotation provides the same offerings, but with two different areas of the business such as: Managed Markets, Product Marketing, Patient Services, US Public Affairs or Commercial Operations within USBU. Our rotational programs include a sales bootcamp for product-focused roles and are dependent on business needs and CLDP associate interests.
Post-Rotational Programs
We encourage our CLDP associates to pursue full-time roles after completing our rotations. With our support, many have successfully transitioned into permanent positions, like Global Brand Lead, Healthcare Professional Senior Product Manager, Global Product & Launch Strategy Senior Product Manager, and Senior Product Manager, Oncology.Ready to join #TeamTakeda?
