Job Description
About the Role:
This position is a fixed-term role for 12 months.
Takeda is seeking a Process Development Chemist to join our team and contribute to the development and manufacturing of high-quality pharmaceutical products. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, regulated environment, supporting process development, optimization, and problem-solving, while ensuring compliance with cGMP, safety, and environmental standards.
How you will contribute :
- Support the introduction, optimization, and outsourcing of chemical processes.
- Assist in process validation programs and provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams.
- Conduct laboratory-based investigational and development projects.
- Participate in problem-solving, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure all activities comply with cGMP, quality standards, and HSE regulations.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including SOPs, BMRs, and process records.
- Actively engage in training and development activities for self and colleagues.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and environmental awareness.
What You Can Bring to Takeda:
- PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry or relevant qualifications.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Drug Substance Process Development Chemist in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
- Strong understanding of cGMP and quality systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, regulated environment.
