Job Description

Join Takeda as the Head of Access Analytics based out of our Cambridge, MA office.  Where you will be a key member of the US Oncology Patient Value and Access team, drive the development and evolution of US Market Access pricing, as well as reporting analytics.  This role requires a unique combination of industry-leading technical and operational pricing capabilities, project management, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

How you will contribute:

  • You will leverage your expertise in local pricing and policy dynamics to inform key strategic pricing decisions and their impact on Takeda’s revenues for US Oncology assets.
  • Lead all US pricing operations activities to ensure adherence to global oncology pricing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure implementation of pricing governance processes and establish pricing
    analytics platforms and tools.
  • Provide leadership to the Access analytics team, managing 3 direct reports,
    fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Actively participate as a member of the PVA Leadership Team, contributing to
    strategic direction and decision-making.
  • Monitor prices for all Oncology inline medicines; this includes ensuring the integrity and accuracy within Takeda’s Price Management System
  • Lead the development of a robust pricing analytics platform to effectively execute price modelling, reference pricing impact analysis and business case evaluations
  • Leverage multiple data sources to support the development of cohesive and
    defendable US pricing recommendations
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative pricing analysis, share insights as a result of the analysis and provide robust recommendations to internal stakeholders, while ensuring superior customer satisfaction by delivering high end quality outputs to local, regional and global teams
  • Monitor and inform relevant stakeholders on key regulations and emerging external pricing dynamics that impact pricing for Oncology assets in the US
  • Perform competitive pricing landscape and analogue assessments for inline and early assets
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to 3 direct reports

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably within Business, Finance, Economics or
    related field
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech
    industry or consulting required, experience in Oncology preferred
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of US pricing & reimbursement systems required
  • Management experience required
  • Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to bring
    structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope problem solving
    approach, and manage execution required
  • Highly collaborative; ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different
    geographies required
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize to successfully manage multiple
    projects/priorities
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective IT-enabled solutions
  • Exceptional skills with regards to Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and
    management of large datasets. Experience with reporting tools (Tableau,
    QlikView) is required

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$174,500.00 - $274,230.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
