Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and purpose-driven National First Line Manager – Onco-Hematology to lead a team of 10 Key Account Managers and drive commercial execution across Takeda’s Onco-Hematology portfolio in Italy. This includes leadership of:

  • ADCETRIS® (brentuximab vedotin): An innovative antibody-drug conjugate approved for Hodgkin lymphoma and CD30-positive peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCL).

  • NINLARO® (ixazomib): The first oral proteasome inhibitor indicated for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.

In this position, you will act as the key connection between Takeda and hematology centers of excellence across Italy, ensuring strategic implementation of brand plans, strong scientific engagement, and exceptional team performance. You will also represent Takeda’s commitment to patients, innovation, and ethical leadership in hematological cancers.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing national team of Onco-Hematology Key Account Managers.

  • Translate business strategy into actionable territory plans and deliver measurable results.

  • Champion Takeda’s values and patient-centric culture.

Commercial Execution

  • Ensure effective commercial execution of the ADCETRIS and NINLARO brand strategies, in alignment with the Business Unit goals.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Medical, Market Access, Marketing, R&D, and Finance) to ensure seamless field implementation and stakeholder alignment.

  • Monitor market performance and dynamics, adjusting team priorities and activities accordingly.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with KOLs, leading hematologists, and multidisciplinary care teams.

  • Represent Takeda at key institutional, scientific, and medical forums.

  • Co-create and execute impactful account plans tailored to the needs of each region and healthcare provider.

Operational Excellence

  • Allocate resources efficiently across accounts and team members.

  • Track KPIs, coach team members on performance, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

  • Foster a continuous learning and feedback culture within the team.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Scientific degree (mandatory).

  • Minimum 4–5 years of people management experience, ideally in oncology or hematology.

  • Strong understanding of the Italian hematology and hospital system landscape.

  • Demonstrated success in sales leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Fluent in Italian and English.

Preferred:

  • Experience with hematology product launches (e.g., lymphoma, multiple myeloma).

  • Cross-functional exposure in areas like marketing, market access, or medical affairs.

  • Familiarity with specialist hospital-based therapy areas and decision-making processes.
