Job Description
Purpose of the role: Own the local customer engagement strategy for assigned brand(s). Translate Takeda’s central brand strategy and modular content into a locally executable plan. Design the customer journey, orchestrate omnichannel engagement, and manage local investment. Deliver better patient outcomes and business results — shifting from bespoke local assets to insight-led engagement. Ultimately, the role is responsible for local brand performance — market competitiveness and financial results — anchored in Takeda's values of Patient, Trust, Reputation and Business.
Responsibilities:
1. Healthcare Professional (HCP) Engagement
Build and strengthen relationships with key Healthcare Professionals, particularly within Cardiology and other adult specialties, to advance customer engagement, medical education, and vaccination advocacy programs.
Develop and execute local omnichannel engagement strategies aligned with global brand direction.
Design and optimize customer journeys across field force, events, congresses, digital, and non-personal channels.
Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful customer engagement initiatives.
Analyze market trends, customer insights, and campaign performance to continuously improve engagement effectiveness.
Manage local engagement budgets, forecasting, and investment allocation to maximize ROI.
Partner with Sales teams to ensure effective communication of brand messages and customer value propositions.
Utilize data, analytics, CRM, and AI-enabled tools to support personalized customer engagement.
2. Consumer Engagement
Lead end-to-end consumer awareness and vaccination campaigns across digital, social media, point-of-care, events, and partnerships.
Translate consumer insights into innovative campaigns that drive awareness and preventive health behaviors.
Build and manage partnerships with healthcare institutions, agencies, digital partners, insurers, and external stakeholders.
Develop media strategies and optimize campaign performance through data-driven decision-making.
Track campaign KPIs, generate actionable insights, and continuously improve future activation programs
Background requirements:
5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, nutrition, FMCG companies / healthcare marketing, consumer engagement or omnichannel activation.
Experience localizing central strategy and content and orchestrating cross-functional, omnichannel engagement.
Experience managing activity budgets and working within compliance / MLR processes.
Proven track record in designing and executing omnichannel campaigns across digital, social, and offline channels
Proven experience in managing creative consumer projects within a marketing agency or similar environment
Experience in data-driven marketing, including segmentation, targeting, and personalization strategies
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working with sales, brand, and external agencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and agencies
Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and generate innovative ideas
Capabilities
Deep therapy area, product and local customer knowledge.
Omnichannel orchestration and customer-journey / experience design.
Data, analytics and AI fluency — interpreting omnichannel performance and working with NBA / decision engines and CRM.
Modular-content and MLR literacy; reuse-first mindset.
Budget and ROI management for local engagement activities.
Agile, test-and-learn ways of working.
Education
Relevant degree (e.g., life sciences, marketing or business); advanced qualification an advantage. Specific requirements to be confirmed locally.
