Job Description
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
The Product Manager role within the DQS and Global Regions DDT team, involves aligning business and technology stakeholders to develop and communicate the products vision, managing product planning and backlog prioritization, and ensuring a sustainable end-to-end customer experience globally. This position to support delivery of our DD&T regional China initiatives and positioning the org for growth.
- Product Strategy and Vision: Develops and conveys product strategy and vision in collaboration with stakeholders, aligning with business goals and technology directions. Maintains and communicates the product roadmap and backlog to ensure team alignment and delivery of value.
- AI Native and Localization: Consistently challenge how processes and therefore products can evolve to exploit AI and drive towards the workforce and products of the future. Fully leverage AI and digital tools in alignment with both global standards and the unique regulatory landscape in China
- Own product planning, including short-term release plans and long-term roadmaps
- Drive prioritization of the product backlog to keep the team unblocked and aligned
- Work with peers across R&D DD&T to continuously improve service processes, optimize applications, and elevate user experiences.
- Proactively oversee and optimize the end-to-end customer and business experience for the product, engaging stakeholders to enable successful and impactful releases.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Define product vision, value proposition, and outcome metrics aligned to R&D China priorities and R&D Global DD&T strategy.
- Works within product budget established in consultation with stakeholders by balancing resources, vision development, and prototyping.
- Translate R&D China business needs into a prioritized roadmap balancing global platform reuse with China-required localization.
- Maintain product backlog, epics, and requirements; ensure clarity of scope, acceptance criteria, and benefits realization.
- Establish product governance, decision logs, and roadmap communication cadence with China and global stakeholders.
- Partner with Privacy, Legal, Security, Quality, and Compliance team in China to define controls and embed in product design.
- Continually monitors and refines the product and performing service management

- Experienced product leader with deep product management expertise in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Fluent in product team ways of working, tools, and techniques, and able to clearly communicate and coordinate work with delivery teams.
- Able to operate across core enabling technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence, machine learning) as needed to deliver product capabilities.
- Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear business language to bridge business and technical stakeholders across the product value stream.
- Understands the language the product teams use to conduct the business of the team, and is conversant with all the tools and techniques required to communicate with and send work to a team.
- Ability to operate within — the domains of any core technologies that the product requires to deliver capabilities (artificial intelligence or machine learning, for example) if required
- Is effective in translating technical language into business language as needed to bridge the gap between business and technical professionals engaged in the full product value stream
- Understands the business processes supported by the product and able to communicate with the relevant R&D teams
- Requires understanding of clinical trial delivery processes, product management in pharmaceuti-cal R&D, and the ability to bridge business and technical teams.

R&D Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor Degree in scientific discipline, computer science or business administration
- 8+ years or more professional experience in R&D business lines, IT service delivery or related area..
- Professional in-depth knowledge of product management in pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in stakeholder relationship management. Influential in orchestrating key stakeholders and product teams to turn product vision into reality.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.
- Understands design thinking
- Ability to demonstrate strategic and critical thinking, as well as problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and skills necessary to lead through change and influence without authority
- Ability to set priorities, deliver on deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks in an evolving, dynamic marketplace.
- Work with virtual/agile teams in different locations, aligning and adapting different work, culture and communication styles.
- GxP experience in validating regulated applications and managing computer system validation (CSV) deliverables.
Preferred:
- Familiarity working in a lean and agile software delivery team
