Job Title: Chief of Staff
Location: India, Mumbai
About the role:
In India next place of Strategy, we have defined our aspirational journey with clearly articulated strategic drivers, to delivery in each strategic area, the role of Head of Transformation and Project Management is carved out to work closely with General Manager and PMO leads in drive progress across these strategic drivers across each workstream in the organization to enhance operational efficiency and achieve desired strategic business objectives.
Key aspects of this role include:
1. Strategic Leadership:
Developing and executing the transformation strategy in each workstream that aligns with our India Re-Imagined Strategy
Ensuring cohesive change management practices are adopted across the company.
2. Project Oversight:
Leading a portfolio of high-impact projects from inception to completion.
Implementing project management best practices to ensure successful delivery.
3. Team and Stakeholder Management:
Closely work with global and regional team in each workstream to guide PMO leads
Engaging with senior executives and other stakeholders to secure buy-in and support for transformation initiatives.
4. Performance and Risk Management:
Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive continuous improvement.
Identifying and mitigating risks associated with transformation projects.
5. Fostering Innovation:
Encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
How you will contribute:
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Transformation Strategy Development:
Develop and articulate the transformation strategy aligned with Takeda’s vision and goals.
Ensure the strategy is effectively communicated and understood across the organization.
2. Project Portfolio Management:
Oversee the portfolio of transformation project, ensuring alignment with Takeda strategic priorities.
Establish and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and tools.
3. Change Management:
Lead change management efforts to support smooth transitions during transformation initiatives.
Foster a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement within the organization.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Ensure transparent communication of project progress, issues, and outcomes.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers and transformation leaders.
Promote best practices in project management and transformation.
6. Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership on project status and outcomes.
7. Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with transformation projects.
Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
8. Resource Allocation:
Optimize the allocation of resources (time, budget, personnel) to ensure efficient project execution.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Internal – Country Leadership Team, General Manager, Project Management Leads for respective workstream, Extensive engagement with I-SEA and GEM team
External – Prospective partners, strategy consulting firms, Market Intelligence community
What you bring to Takeda:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
10+ years’ work experience in consulting firm with experience of managing transformation projects and project management or serving as a strategy lead in another Pharma MNC.
Healthcare industry experience a must
MBA preferred
Finance background added advantage
Strong Project Management Skills
BI, insight generation tools, strategy frameworks
Strong collaboration skills
Strong documentation, analytics and digital bent of mind
Proven leader who has strong business acumen and can pre-empt strategic moves to navigate and give the direction to transformational journey.
