Job Description

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

The Finance Business Partner Lead  is a seasoned finance professional that supports the Thousand Oaks Manufacturing site as the main business partner for the facility.  This role is is a high-level individual contributor and reports directly to the Site Finance Head.

Help lead all Finance activities within the site, including business partnering, decision support, business cases and investment decisions, planning, forecasting, fiduciary and statutory responsibilities and obligations. Independent thought leader providing strategic direction to Site/OpU/Region; a deep understanding of the Site Manufacturing/Site Support Functions in achieving the site strategy. Elevate financial capabilities within Site Finance function, develop next generation of leaders

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help drive and lead the finance organization for the site, including decision support, budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis.
  • Develop financial business cases and analyses for capital investments to justify the initiative by proving its value. 
  • Work collaboratively with the site leadership team to provide financial insights on manufacturing performance, local risks and opportunities, predictive scenario planning, new products, and transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure budget accountability and proactively address financial risks and help determine how to offset cost overruns.
  • Maintain financial master data and ensures data integrity for financial tools.
  • Help perform annual standard cost calculations and monthly deviation analysis.
  • Continuously enhance the controls environment and ensure adherence to all policies. Oversee local SOX & controls planning, implementation, remediation, and risk assessment. Engage in collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ensure the fiduciary and statutory responsibilities and obligations, by overseeing statutory reporting and compliance requirements, providing oversight of period end reporting, stats and tax returns submissions where required.

EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, AND SKILLS:

Qualifications:

  • Relationship management – establish productive relationships with own group and cross-functional teams. Ability to effectively articulate ideas and problem-solve across a variety of settings.
  • Enterprise mindset – ability to join the dots, think broadly and serve the best interest of the enterprise through own role and department.
  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, and experience supporting cross-functional decision making
  • Excellent communication skills and strong executive presence
  • Problem solver with the ability to think strategically and be solution-oriented to support key business decisions.
  • Collaborator who can optimally navigate across a global, matrixed organization
  • Strong analytical skill with ability to syntheize large amounts of data and financial modeling
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry, including cost accounting experience with exposure to manufacturing and/or supply chain.
  • Deep underingstanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools, their business functions, and the interactions between those functions.
  • Experience with the following applications. SAP, JD Edwards, SAP Analytics Clouds, Blackline, Concur, Ariba, Qlik Cloud, ReportsNow, Invoicetrack and all Microsoft Office suite programs.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$154,400.00 - $242,550.00


The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
