Communications Lead, GI & Inflammation

About the role:
Leads global product and pipeline communications for our exciting high‑priority, late‑stage asset being investigated in psoriasis, representing Takeda’s expanding inflammation pipeline exploring psoriatic arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, vitiligo, hidradenitis suppurativa and additional immune-mediated diseases.
This is a hybrid position requiring working onsite in Cambridge, Massachusetts two (2) days each week/eight (8) days each month at minimum.
How you will contribute:
Direct all global internal and external communications strategies for our immunology and inflammation pipeline programs
Develop and execute global milestone-specific communication plans, including global material and message development, global launch toolkits, global congress communication, media relations strategy, digital/social tactics, and quarterly investor messaging support.
Partner closely with global Patient Advocacy, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, and country and regional communications teams to ensure a consistent immunology and inflammatory disease narrative and communication strategy for Takeda.
Lead communications efforts for global pre-launch activities and data and regulatory milestones, including scenario planning and strategy.
Play integral role on global program teams, representing the communications function and providing strategic support and counsel.
Provide program information and strategic guidance to countries and regions on inflammation program-related issues and issues management.
Create global disease awareness programs for immune-mediated inflammatory disease.
Advise on communications strategies for major global medical congresses where data will be presented, liaising with R&D and medical communication teams as appropriate.
Develop internal communications messaging to support announcement of major brand and/or pipeline milestones
Manage global public relations agency partner and oversee communications budget for asset programs.

USA - MA - Cambridge - Kendall Square - 500U.S. Base Salary Range:
$177,000.00 - $278,080.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
