Job Description
The Blackline Centre of Excellence Manager is part of Takeda Business Solutions (TBS).

Within the TBS organization, the Blackline Centre of Excellence Manager is part of the respective Finance Excellence team and is accountable for delivering and implementing the process-related vision of the R2D Global Process Owner. The Blackline Centre of Excellence Manager acts as the first point of contact for Operational Leads and Business Partners to drive end-to-end global Blackline process excellence.
ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
Responsible for global end-to-end Blackline process standardization, optimization, automation, and robotization as defined by the R2D GPO organization
Acts as a Blackline and SAP SME, driving process improvement and adoption of new ways of working across:
Account Reconciliation
Matching and Clearing
Manual Journal Entry processing
Closing activities
Reviews Blackline CI / IA opportunities and regularly leverages the Financial Solution Operations network; assesses support needs and initiatives and leads them to completion as part of the overall governance framework
Continuously analyzes the Blackline setup to:
improve process accuracy and efficiency
increase agility and support future growth
optimize audit processes
eliminate bottlenecks and deliver timely results
Participates in regional governance forums to support Business Partners from a process perspective
Is responsible for documentation of global processes and regional deviations, including addressing and resolving local deviations
Is responsible for process-related project implementations
Provides global cost and resource requirements for process optimization initiatives as budget input
CORE ELEMENTS RELATED TO THIS ROLE
Ability to translate broad strategic insights into practical and impactful solutions
Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage evolving requirements with a results focus
Change management capability and cross-functional collaboration
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong focus on technology and automation
Profound knowledge of Takeda Record-to-Disclose (R2D) accounting processes
Ability to communicate at all management levels
Strong influencing skills
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, IT, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in improving Blackline processes
In-depth understanding of controls, GDPR, and SOX compliance
Ability to work in a diverse, global stakeholder environment across functions and process domains
Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at different organizational levels
Strong process-oriented mindset
Proven ability to work effectively across cultures and regions
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The successful candidate will be required to work from the office in line with current Finance organization requirements to ensure effective collaboration with stakeholders (currently 8 days per month).
