Job Description

Title: Technical System Owner (TSO)

Location: Grange Castle, Ireland

About the Role:

As a Technical System Owner, you will be accountable for the overall management, maintenance, and optimization of specific technical systems and solutions related to digital products, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will acts as the primary point of contact for all technical aspects of the system and digital solution, aligning system performance with business needs.

How will you contribute:

  • Technical expert on the site business software applications and digital platforms to ensure they are managed to meet the ongoing business requirements.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of specific technical systems.

  • Ensure that systems are running smoothly, efficiently, and reliably.

  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades to keep systems current and secure.

  • Primary technical point of contact for systems within their area of expertise; interfaces with business system owner.

  • Identify areas for improvement within the system to enhance performance and efficiency.

  • Implement changes and optimizations to improve system functionality and user experience. 

  • Monitors system performance and adjusts as needed.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define technical requirements for new digital products.

  • Support development and documentation of architecture of new digital products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

  • Identify and manages risks related to IT systems.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure that the system is compliant with all relevant regulations and standards.

  • Demonstrate strong autonomy in problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Work closely with cross functional business teams, and global teams. 

  • Proven at building and maintaining relationships. 

  • Requirement to operate as part of an out-of-hours on call team.

  • Innovative mindset through AI, digitalization and automation.

  • Drive knowledge sharing and continuous improvement capabilities within the team.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • MES, LIMS, CDS, Historian, ERP application certification and or relevant experience.

  • Relevant application experience, (Preferably with server/ network engineer experience).

  • Associate Degree or equivalent.

  • Efficient time management and coordinates tasks, working in an global environment. 

  • VMWare, Citrix, Cisco, Microsoft certification.

  • SaaS or Cloud technologies certification and/ or relevant experience.

  • Several years of experience in system administration, system management, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of system architecture, system integration, and digital product development.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Ability to automate system tasks.

  • Strong project management skills..

  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity practices and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Understanding of SDLC GxP lifecycle.

Desired 

  • 5-7 years relevant experience. (Preferably working in the Pharmaceutical or Life Science).

  • Ability to work with Quality Management Systems.

  • Experience working with project management and agile methodologies.

  • Travel Requirements – Travel between Ireland sites (ad hoc).
