JOB LOCATION: Cambridge, MA

POSITION: Platform Owner – LAN and Automation

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. is seeking a Platform Owner – LAN and Automation with the following duties: Lead Interconnect Projects to ensure robust application connectivity across data centers; Implement Data Center Interconnectivity using OTV links to enable Layer 2 extension and seamless workload migration across sites; Support Strategic Data Center Closures by ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption to services; Design and Deploy CNF Locations to establish AWS connectivity via Direct Connect links, enhancing cloud integration; Optimize IP Address Management by reducing overlaps and streamlining network architecture; Finalize DNS/DHCP Strategy by selecting and configuring primary and backup solutions using IPAM/Infoblox; Configure and Troubleshoot Cisco DNAC Analytics to support automation initiatives and improve network visibility; Consolidate WAN Infrastructure by transitioning from legacy SD-WAN to a simplified, future-ready cloud-based design; Provide Escalation-Level Operational Support for critical network outages and high-impact business incidents; Perform Wireless Harmonization by consolidating SSIDs to support advanced robotic connectivity in manufacturing environments; Enhance ISP Connectivity through strategic changes to overlay and underlay designs; Monitor and Analyze Network Traffic using tools like LiveNX, Thousand Eyes, and SolarWinds to identify and implement performance improvements; Improve Internet User Experience by securing connectivity with on-premises firewalls (Palo Alto) and cloud-based solutions (Zscaler); Collaborate with ISPs to meet evolving business requirements and reduce latency for improved network performance.  Up to 10% domestic travel required for team meeting and workshops; 100% remote work allowed.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Design and implement data center interconnectivity using Overlay Transport Virtualization (OTV) to enable Layer 2 extension and support workload migration. Configure and troubleshoot network analytics platforms such as Cisco DNAC to support automation and performance monitoring. Monitor and analyze network traffic using tools like LiveNX, ThousandEyes, and SolarWinds to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements. Design and deploy cloud connectivity solutions using AWS Direct Connect to establish secure and high-performance links between on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments.

Full time. $238,290 - $336,090 per year.
