THE OPPORTUNITY
Define the technical architecture and standards forDevX’sagentic/GenAI platform. You’ll establish reference implementations, solve the most complex technical challenges, and ensure solutions are secure, observable, reproducible, and compliant with Takeda’s AI-SDLC and Responsible AI frameworks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Architecture & Technical Leadership
Define reference architectures for agent skills/tools, orchestration, retrieval, and observability; set SLOs for latency, quality, and cost.
Establish technical standards and design patterns for platform components; create reference implementations.
Solve the most complex technical challenges across the platform stack independently.
Make critical technology decisions (framework selection, architecture patterns, performance optimization).
Engineering & Quality
Build and maintain core platform capabilities with production-grade code quality.
Establish guardrails (HITL, prompt/version lineage, audit logs, reproducibility) through technical implementation.
Define andenforce codequality standards, testing strategies, and observability patterns.
Governance & Risk
Embed Responsible AI controls (data minimization, privacy/PII, bias monitoring) into technical architecture.
Maintain a comprehensive decision log and technical standards documentation.
Technical Enablement
Provide technical mentorship and guidance tomore juniorengineers on complex problems.
Create developer documentation, runbooks, and reference examples for platform adoption.
Drive platform thinking and reusability through technical design.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related study, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of relevant professional experience of software/platform engineering with deep expertise in production systems at scale.
Expert-level depth in agentic systems (orchestration, tools), RAG/retrieval, telemetry, CI/CD, and cloud security.
Advanced Python proficiency for building production platform capabilities; experience with modern frameworks and type-safe development.
Ability to translate AI-SDLC/RAI policy into practical engineering standards.
Strong technical communication and ability to mentor engineers.
Preferred/Nice to have
Production rollout of LLM agents; AWS (EKS/ECS, Lambda, IAM, Bedrock).
IaC(Terraform) and cost/performance optimization experience.
Experience with GitHub Copilot and AtlassianRovoenterprise deployments.
Platform integration experience (GitHub APIs, Atlassian APIs, enterprise system integrations).
