Are you an experienced M&A Project Lead with a strong background in finance and business reorganization?

As we continue our digital transformation and experience rapid growth in the U.S. and Europe, Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) is now hiring an M&A Project Lead with a passion for finance excellence, process optimization, digital solutions and helping patients.

This is a vital role within the TBS M&A function—a dynamic, high-impact team within Takeda Business Solutions supporting mergers, acquisition, divestitures, and other business reorganization activities across Takeda.

Here, you will help TBS realize our inspiring vision to build and deliver simplified, innovative solutions by strengthening end‑to‑end finance processes and ensuring high‑quality execution of strategic transactions. This, in turn, empowers Takeda’s unwavering commitment to patients.

As an M&A Project Lead, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating global M&A and business reorganization initiatives, working closely with finance partners, cross‑functional teams, local markets, and external stakeholders.


Accelerate value & make an impact by:

  • Supporting divestitures, mergers, acquisitions, demergers, and asset sales
  • Partnering with the M&A Portfolio Lead and Finance partners to set up transactions and accounting guidance
  • Acting as a finance point of contact for cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Identifying risks, gaps, and issues during transaction execution and proactively driving resolution
  • Preparing and reviewing key finance deliverables, including accounting memos and transaction documentation
  • Participating in workshops, governance forums, and project meetings to support informed decision‑making
  • Coordinating implementation of end‑to‑end finance processes, and internal controls
  • Contributing to best practices, standardization, and continuous improvement within the TBS M&A function

Required qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5 years of overall experience in finance, controlling, or project management
  • Experience in finance transformation, or business projects
  • Proven track record of working in cross‑functional, international environments
  • Strong understanding of finance processes and systems (e.g. ERP, reporting, accounting tools)
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analysis and process documentation
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
  • Project coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Clear communication and problem‑solving capabilities


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a shared services or global business services environment
  • SAP knowledge
  • Professional certificates in project management
