Job Description

Title: Product Owner, Tetrascience Data Platform

Location: Cambridge, MA

About the role:

As the Product Owner, Tetrascience Data Platform, you will shape the future of our Tetrascience Data Platform and SAIL Partnership on our Research, PharmSci, and PDT R&D Data, Digital and Technology team. You will play the role of leader who thrives at the intersection of platform innovation, strategic partnership, and team leadership.

You’ll guide the platform strategy, strengthen governance, and drive measurable business impact by turning technical capability into real R&D value. You will work closely with key stakeholders, you’ll help define the roadmap, align priorities, and ensure the platform scales to meet evolving scientific and digital needs. You’ll lead and grow a talented team, creating an environment where innovative ideas can become enterprise capabilities with lasting impact.

How will you contribute:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the team responsible for the Tetrascience Data Platform, setting clear priorities and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner with senior business stakeholders to understand scientific priorities, identify opportunities, and translate needs into a clear, value-driven platform roadmap.

  • Own TDP use case prioritization and decision-making across competing business and technical demands, balancing user needs, compliance requirements, scalability, and long-term value.

  • Serve as the primary connector across Research, PharmSci, PDT, DD&T, and our TetraScience partners to drive successful implementation, enhancement delivery, and strong ongoing platform performance.

  • Establish and strengthen governance processes for demand intake, roadmap planning, release management, and stakeholder communication.

  • Drive change management, training, and adoption efforts that help global users realize the full value of the platform, and applications built on top of the platform.

  • Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure high-quality delivery, strong collaboration, and alignment with Takeda’s priorities.

  • Monitor platform performance, user feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for optimization, innovation, and measurable business impact.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, engineering, data, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.

  • Significant hands-on experience with TetraScience Data Platform in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment, including integrations between TDP and ELNs, LIMS and other scientific systems.

  • Experience leading and managing large vendor partnerships.

  • Expertise in Agile Software development and delivery, GxP System Validation, and general SDLC processes.

  • Proven success leading a complex, business-critical digital platform, including roadmap development, prioritization, governance, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Strong understanding of scientific workflows, research data ecosystems, and the needs of drug discovery and development organizations.

  • Ability to translate business and scientific requirements into platform capabilities, delivery plans, and scalable operating processes.

  • Excellent executive communication, influence, and business partnering skills, with the ability to work effectively across scientific, technical, and vendor teams.

  • Experience leading platform adoption, change management, and user engagement across global or cross-functional organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, including setting goals, coaching talent, and building effective cross-functional ways of working.

  • Familiarity with related digital lab and data ecosystem tools such as LIMS, ELN, analytics, integration, or visualization platforms is preferred.
