Job Description

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Takeda is embarking on a bold and business-critical enterprise transformation journey, centered around the migration to SAP S/4HANA - a foundational enabler for future-ready operations, data-driven decision-making, and digital acceleration.

The Platform Director, ERP Analytics and AI will play a pivotal role in this journey, driving the design and execution of a global data and reporting strategy that supports the transformation across all business units and geographies in an AI-ready manner. With significant impact on the daily operations of over 10,000 business users, this role requires a leader who can seamlessly integrate new processes, manage business risks, and ensure readiness across a diverse and complex landscape—including headquarters, manufacturing sites, logistics centers, and shared service hubs.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead the transformation of data, reporting, and AI-related capabilities to support the S/4HANA journey.

  • Develop and maintain SAP Data Ontology frameworks to standardize business concepts across SAP modules and the broader Takeda ecosystem.

  • Build intelligent systems that interpret data cognitively, uncover new insights, and enable zero-copy data for enterprise-level insight capabilities.

  • Drive business readiness and post-implementation stabilization across global operations.

  • Orchestrate strategic alignment and investment decisions across SAP-related initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with data governance and AI teams to leverage ontology for advanced analytics and machine learning beyond SAP.

  • Leverage agentic AI to enable autonomous, adaptive decision-making and foster a learnable enterprise.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

Essential

  • Extensive program and project management experience, including full lifecycle implementation of ERP landscapes.

  • Experience in global programs with multi-business and multi-region setups.

  • Expertise in process excellence and agile methodologies.

  • Strong technical proficiency in the SAP Analytics stack and Data Ontology/Modeling (e.g., BW, SA, SAP Business Data Cloud) and Databricks for seamless integration scenarios.

  • Proven people management experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Desired

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • ERP project background.

  • Experience preparing and monitoring business cases.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Availability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time for workshops, planning sessions, and critical program milestones.
