Role Overview
As an AI and Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automation and AI-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency, reduce complexity, and support strategic business goals across the Austrian LOC. You will collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities, lead technical execution, and ensure sustainable adoption of intelligent systems.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Programming & Execution
Develop and maintain automation scripts, workflows, and tools using platforms such as Power Automate, Python, or RPA technologies.
Lead end-to-end implementation of automation solutions across business processes (e.g., finance, medical, commercial operations).
AI Project Leadership
Drive the design and deployment of AI initiatives, including predictive analytics, natural language processing, and intelligent agents.
Ensure ethical, compliant, and effective use of AI technologies in alignment with LOC and global standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with business owners to identify pain points and translate them into automation or AI opportunities.
Work closely with IT, data governance, and compliance teams to ensure secure and scalable solutions.
Change Management & Enablement
Support change management efforts to drive adoption of new technologies.
Provide training and documentation to end-users and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in automation programming (e.g., Scripting, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), workflow design (e.g., Power Automate, Python, RPA technologies))
AI Project Leadership: Experience designing and deploying AI solutions (predictive analytics, NLP, intelligent agents)
Automation Implementation: Proven track record of implementing automation across business functions
AI Governance: Familiarity with compliance, ethical, and governance aspects of AI
Demonstrated success in automation implementation and execution across business functions.
Track record of successfully implemented AI projects or programs, ideally in a regulated or enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of AI concepts such as machine learning, NLP, and agentic AI frameworks.
Familiarity with AI governance, compliance, and ethical considerations.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to translate business pain points into technical solutions and work with IT, data governance, and compliance teams
Change Management: Supporting adoption, training, and documentation for new technologies
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Knowledge of LOC operations and cross-functional collaboration models.
Familiarity with tools like Copilot Studio, Power Platform, or enterprise AI orchestration systems.

For this important and responsible position, the minimum gross salary is €4,578 per month (full-time, according to the collective agreement for the chemical industry). The actual salary package depends on your professional experience and qualifications.
