About the role:

As a Technical System Owner and Business Analyst Manager, you will lead the analysis, implementation, and support of IT-OT Manufacturing Systems platforms across our Covington manufacturing operations. This role requires deep understanding of manufacturing processes and strong expertise in MES, ERP operations, Predictive Maintenance systems, data integration, and industrial automation. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that DD&T initiatives align with production goals and IT architecture standards.

How will you contribute:

  • Lead the end-to-end technical analysis of current and design of MES solutions (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, GE Proficy, etc.).

  • Translate manufacturing requirements into detailed system design specifications for any DD&T lead system deployment.

  • Oversee technical configuration, customization, and integration of MES with ERP (JDE, SAP), LIMS, LabX etc. Clear understanding of the technical IT infrastructure and take initiative on enhancing, optimizing and creating knowledge base of the current system.

  • Coordinate with system integrators and internal developers to ensure delivery of robust systems functionalities such as Predictive Maintenance system.

  • Design and maintain interfaces between manufacturing systems and external systems (e.g., historians, quality systems, ERP, LIMS).

  • Define data models, data flows, and ensure data integrity between manufacturing systems and connected systems.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of APIs, communication, and middleware integration.

  • Work with IT architects to ensure systems architecture aligns with enterprise technology strategy and cybersecurity protocols.

  • Develop and enforce best practices for system design, configuration management, and software lifecycle management within MES projects.

  • Manage a team of MES analysts, developers, and system specialists; provide technical mentorship and career development guidance.

  • Lead project planning, prioritization, and execution of MES-related initiatives using Agile or hybrid methodologies.

  • Collaborate with operations, IT, and engineering teams to gather and refine business and system requirements.

  • Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues; guide root cause analysis and long-term fixes.

  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing system performance, gathering feedback, and implementing enhancements.

  • As directed and assignment by management for projects and tasks.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in MES and other IT-OT systems implementation and support, with 2+ years in a lead role.

  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, ISA-95 model, and automation systems.

  • Proficiency with one or more MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FT, GE Digital, AVEVA/Wonderware).

  • Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle), scripting languages (Python, VBScript), and integration protocols (OPC, REST, SOAP).

  • Hands-on experience integrating MES with ERP and SCADA systems.

  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, automotive, aerospace) - Preferred.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISA/IEC 62443) as they relate to MES environments - Preferred.

  • PMP, Agile Scrum certifications, or similar project management credentials - Preferred.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$111,800.00 - $175,670.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
