Job Description
About the role:
The Director Patient & Market Access is responsible for developing and implementing market access strategies to ensure optimal product uptake and value recognition. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, engaging with external stakeholders, and applying advanced economic theories and pricing strategies to enhance market access.
How you will contribute:
Develop and communicate effective market access strategies
Lead and influence cross-functional teams, providing strategic direction and oversight
Engage with external stakeholders, including payers and influencers, to maximize product value recognition
Apply economic theories and pricing strategies to optimize market access and product uptake
Navigate complex negotiations, advising on strategies and improving practices
Execute advanced interpersonal communications, anticipating needs and coaching others
Provide strategic direction and oversight to managers across various functional areas
Skills and qualifications:
Develops and communicates effective market access strategies, applying advanced techniques in complex situations
Leads and influences cross-functional teams, providing strategic direction and oversight
Engages effectively with external stakeholders, including payers and influencers, to maximize product value recognition
Applies economic theories and pricing strategies to optimize market access and product uptake
Navigates complex negotiations, advising on strategies and improving practices
Executes advanced interpersonal communications, anticipates needs, and coaches others
Applies comprehensive knowledge of biopharmaceuticals, including vaccines and gene therapies
Understands and applies managed care and biotechnology concepts to enhance market access and product success
Independently handles Medicaid and Medicare complexities, applying knowledge effectively
Leads the design and implementation of health technology assessments and reimbursement strategies
Provides consulting services to internal and external stakeholders, enhancing market access outcomes
Coaches and mentors team members, enhancing their skills and contributions to market access strategies
As a leader of a sizable (functional) area, serving as the primary internal and external contact for contracts and operations. Your responsibilities include conducting high-level briefings and technical meetings, interacting with managers of equivalent status, and crafting corporate and organizational policies. You will provide strategic direction and oversight to managers across various functional areas, prioritizing the successful execution of major initiatives and ensuring that budgets, schedules, and performance standards are both realistically established and achieved. Your role focuses on strategic impact rather than day-to-day operational involvement.
