Job Description

Role and Responsibilities: As the Business Operations Head, you will collaborate closely with the ISEA (India & Southeast Asia) Head and Leadership Team to co-pilot and execute strategic priorities that align with our business objectives. Your responsibilities will include:

Build Sustainable, Scalable and Impactful Commercialization Capabilities

You will be accountable for partnering with I-SEA Leadership Team and effectively leading a team of key contributors to collectively deliver the following:

  • Take a leadership role in strengthening the sales and marketing capabilities within I-SEA, working to define priorities, operating model and key initiatives that adds significant value to local operating companies (LOCs) and seamlessly integrates with the GEM & VBU.
  • Oversee generation of actionable business insights generated through market research and data analytics to improve I-SEA and LOCs strategies, tactics and understanding of execution.
  • Understand deeply therapeutic area and key brand strategies, performance and execution to impactfully guide I-SEA Head and Leadership Team to maximize performance.
  • Proactively identify emerging trends, topics and challenges, and integrate into business strategies and plan to capitalize on opportunities and stay ahead of potential issues.

Advance our Ways of Working & Effectiveness within I-SEA

  • Coordinate and lead key projects across I-SEA, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation and success including with GEM, VBU, etc.
  • Partner with the ISEA Head, Finance and cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and prioritize initiatives based on business needs, effectiveness and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with LOC General Managers to ensure pull-through and consistency in the implementation of prioritized strategic initiatives.
  • Provide understanding and insights into performance vs KPIs, manage strategic initiatives on behalf of I-SEA LT and support effective team operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. An advanced degree (Master's or MBA) is preferred.
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experience or a healthcare-related field.
  • Multi-country experience is a plus 
  • Strong leadership experience, including managing and leading teams in cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to make trade-offs with an enterprise-thinking mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and influence stakeholders, including executive leadership, operations, finance, supply, pharmacovigilance, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and contribute to the development and execution of organizational strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in project management, with the ability to oversee and coordinate multiple key initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of market research methodologies, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Experience in building marketing capabilities within a consumer-focused commercial organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and strategies to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term goals with long-term vision.
