Job Description
Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) is a function within Takeda with the objective of enabling Takeda’s business strategy, delivering simplification and cost reduction, improving services, and providing a transformation engine for continuous improvement for Takeda. ‘Building and Delivering Simplified and Innovative Solutions’ is our overarching vision with Patients at the center of all that we do.
The role supports the executing of sourcing, onboarding and offboarding of contracted suppliers to enable seamless transactional operations in requisitioning, ordering, and invoicing. The role is focused on all activities required to execute sourcing, with the appropriate tools, onboard suppliers from the moment contracts are signed to the point where Takeda business users can start to order goods and ser-vices.
This includes facilitation of vendor data management (i.e., creation of new vendors), connecting on buying platforms, applications, catalogues and defining operational ways of working to engage with business users. When supplier contracts are terminated, this role ensures appropriate securing of in-formation, disable access to Takeda platforms, applications or catalogues and de-activation of suppliers in transactional buying systems. The role relies on support from Process & Systems and Support Solutions for technical / system-related matters.
Key objectives include:
·Engage with sourcing execution and enablement teams, R2O operations and Content, Catalogue and Contract management to plan supplier enablement activities.
·Ensure appropriate supplier due diligence checks are performed at the supplier enablement stage as part of the pre-qualification process.
·SPOC for (new) suppliers in the operational and technical onboarding process.
·Manage progress of supplier onboarding /off-boarding process within agreed timelines.
·Coordinate tasks with other TBS procurement solutions teams to ensure efficiency and quality of services.
·Ensure security and confidentiality for Takeda when supplier relations and contracts are terminated.
Raise issues related to non-compliance to procurement and supplier management guidelines
Qualifications & Skills:
Sourcing & Supplier Enablement Closely support and collaborate with the strategic sourcing managers to execute the end-to-end sourcing activities on demand. Enablement of invited suppliers for online RFx events participation and eventual award. Administer and host online RFx events (sourcing, auctions, etc) for identified sourcing projects. Prepare, evaluate, and submit price/proposal recommendations to the strategic sourcing managers. Prepare required communications to suppliers, TBS R2O and GREFP users when suppliers are operational. Participate in global TBS initiatives to provide inputs on China market/processes for the formulation of initiative scope.
Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Coordinate and provide support in the setting up of buying channels. Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement optimized end-to-end processes. Maintaining and updating performance dashboards on KPI and operational metrics. Support in change management to internal business stakeholders on changes to the P2P processes.
Supplier Management Ensure appropriate supplier due diligence checks are performed and verified to minimize risk in the setup of new vendors to Takeda. Collaborate with TBS Procurement Solutions teams on supplier onboarding tasks performed to maintain SLA timeliness. Obtain required information / assets from suppliers in offboarding / deactivation. Disable supplier – business user system access to transaction. Track and report KPIs related to supplier enablement process.
ExperienceFamiliarity with sourcing and procurement procedures with at least 3 years of experience in procurement sourcing. Prior experience in the conduct of online tenders and auctions. Proficiency in market research and pricing analysis.
Education / Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or finance/business or supply chain. Procurement related certification (such as CIPS, CPSM, APICS) is a plus.
System / Software Competencies Prior operating experience with procurement platforms (SAP Ariba, SAP Ariba SCC modules and Coupa) is a plus. Advance proficiency in using Microsoft Office software. Proficiencies in Microsoft Power tools (PowerBI, Power Automate, etc) is a plus.
Language Competencies Strong interpersonal (written and oral) communication skills in English. Business level fluency in Mandarin.
Behavioural Competencies/Skills Strong data analytical skills and has proven quantitative abilities (e.g. cost modelling, price analysis) Team player with excellent project & time-management, organizational and collaboration skills. A process and system-oriented person with keen interests in technology and an eye for details. Eager learner with a mind for continuous improvements. Possess knowledge on local market conditions and regulatory requirement.
