Job Description

Qualification

  • Education (minimum/desirable): University degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: At least 03 to 05 years in Maintenance of Pharmaceutical/Chemical process equipments
  • Experience from any chemical or API industry

Accountabilities

  • The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for managing and performing maintenance, and repair of facilities systems and equipment. This role ensures the smooth operation of industrial equipment and facilities, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of manufacturing processes.
  • Independently conducts preventive maintenance across a variety of equipment, utilizing a comprehensive understanding of maintenance principles to prevent equipment failure.
  • Executing and improving predictive maintenance processes, advising others in complex situations.
  • Perform root cause analysis independently and recommend improvements.
  • Independently conducts preventive maintenance across a variety of equipment, utilizing a comprehensive understanding of maintenance principles to prevent equipment failure.
  • Manages shift operations independantly to support manufacturing activities.

Must Have In-depth Knowledge & application at

  • Maintenance of equipments mechanical aspects like Reactors, centrifuges, Dryers, Pumps, Vacuum pumps etc.
  • Shall have a good understanding of reading & understanding PFD’s, P&ID’s and equipment Layouts, maintenance manuals.
  • Strong understanding of site EHS systems, permit-to-work, and lockout-tagout practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of ISO system: ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, pharm cGMP systems

Good To Have

  • Hands on experience on equipment maintenance of the equipments.
  • Working in Paperless setup.
  • Understanding and knowledge in computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)

Leadership

  • Learn to Lead and embrace change through effective communication, handling teams and co-ordination with cross functional teams.

Interaction

  • Internal: Manufacturing/Production, Quality, Maintenance Lead, Spare Parts Manager, EHS, Finance, Supply chain and other internal stake holders
  • External: Service providers / AMC agencies / Competent persons for testing

Innovation

  • Should have a passion to learn, understand continually and suggest new ideas for improvement of the system

Complexity

  • Should have a bent to work in culturally diverse team and in shift operations involving hands on work on equipment maintenance.
