  • Lead or support large‑scale operational initiatives such as shutdowns, startups, and new process or facility implementations

  • Champion DMAIC and continuous improvement methodologies to address issues impacting safety, quality, yield, or throughput

  • Ensure required training is assigned, completed, and documented on time for all shift employees (cGMP, safety, job skills, etc.)

  • Ensure strict adherence to department procedures and the consistent production of high‑quality therapeutic products

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and equitable work environment that emphasizes accountability, respect, and results

  • Lead and coordinate facility GEMBA walks with Manufacturing and support functions (QA, Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities) to ensure inspection‑ready standards

  • Represent Manufacturing in meetings, audits, investigations, and cross‑functional initiatives

  • Ensure supervisors and employees meet Quality and EHS investigation and closure timelines

  • Partner with EHS, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to continuously improve safety, quality, and operational performance

What you bring to Takeda

  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations, including Filling, Inspection, and Packaging

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities through direct and indirect reports in a matrixed environment

  • Experience interpreting operational, statistical, and financial data to support informed decision‑making

  • Proven ability to resolve technical issues and collaborate effectively with engineering and technical experts

  • Experience leading investigations and communicating outcomes through clear, well‑written documentation

  • Knowledge of Operational Excellence tools (Lean, Six Sigma), cGMPs, and FDA regulations

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment

  • Strong organizational, administrative, and time‑management skills

  • Effective self‑leader with a track record of developing supervisors and manufacturing staff
