Job Description

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Supports Patient Access Effectiveness and in particular the Field Access team, through the organization, development and delivery of training programs.
  • This person is a subject matter expert (SME) in training for Patient Access at Takeda across multiple therapeutic areas and will act as a resource for other Training roles within the team.
  • Consults with key stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training programs are current and result in desired organizational and individual performance.
  • Measures, reports and influences the effectiveness of training programs to management, through consultation and participation in metrics meetings. 

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Define current state environments, understand future state needs, and define training plans to address gaps, aligned with Field Access.
  • An expert in managing training processes and applying ADDIE principles to drive performance improvement.
  • Continually evaluate effectiveness of current training programs and conduct ongoing skills and needs assessments.  
  • Lead content collaboration with stakeholders, problem-solving to achieve performance objectives and resolve issues and risks.
  • Monitor feedback on courses and partner with stakeholders to make improvements.
  • Partner in the development, delivery and continuous improvement of training programs through identification, selection and deployment of appropriate tools and methodologies.
  • Ensure the availability of business reports and metrics pertaining to program activities / progress that inform management decision-making.
  • Experience dealing with various interrelated, interdependent systems and processes. Experience translating complex processes to ensure understanding.
  • SOP maintenance to align with current business processes.
  • Ensure all materials are approved through proper reviews and promote a culture of compliance with all training activities.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level influence without formal authority.
  • Coaches new hires in Patient Access to develop within their respective competencies

  • Collaboration with US Commercial Learning & Development on new hire onboarding, customer interaction training, and ongoing development.
  • Actively contributes to any Patient Access-related training for US Franchise sales and marketing teams.

  • Introduce new training ideas into the organization, adapts new ideas and converts them into approaches that meet training challenges.
  • Must be innovative and courageous to challenge the status quo.

  • Plan, identify, develop, and produce tactics, materials, and program offerings that enhance the learning experience in one or more specific therapeutic areas within the programs we support. 

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of business acumen; partnering with the organization by supporting Change Management, developing colleagues through coaching, supporting the organization with competency management, evaluating learning impact and ability to demonstrate performance improvement through strong needs analysis to identify potential training solutions.
  • Accountable to deliver on the above items in way that fosters Takada-ism, PTRB, and a positive and collaborative culture. 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree

   EXPERIENCE

  • Patient Access or relevant access experience strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of training experience required.
  • 8+ years of functional proven experience around pharmaceutical Patient Access processes, approaches and systems.

   SKILLS AND TRAITS

  • Ability to quickly develop a level of trust with both new hires and stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.
    • Must be able to communicate ideas and themes both verbally and in writing, in a way that is both functionally clear and emotionally resonates with the target audience.
  • Strong organizational skills, along with solid decision-making skills, ability to work on multiple and often diverse areas and to prioritize effectively
  • Strong patient orientation/focus.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, initiative, creativity, and proven track-record for innovation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Ability to Travel (when approved and safe to do so) up to 10% of the time to support therapeutic-area conferences, meetings and events.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$137,000.00 - $215,270.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
