As our Patient Value and Access Lead you will drive national market access strategies to ensure timely and broad patient access to Takeda products in the Netherlands, meeting international pricing governance requirements while influencing public policies to support patient access.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Market Access Leadership
Develop and implement effective strategies to secure rapid access and reimbursement for Takeda products, leveraging global insights.
Ensures close alignment of national Market Access strategies and activities with Public Affairs function in order to drive policy development and government decisions beneficial for (ongoing) patient access of Takeda’s products in The Netherlands
Maintain compliance with global pricing governance and secure approval from relevant bodies.
Acts as organizational expert on market access-related subject matter, such as health economics, outcomes research, innovative payment schemes or the generation of real world evidence to overcome evidence gaps
Stakeholder Engagement
Build trust-based relationships with government officials, payers, opinion leaders, and stakeholders.
Proactively manage Takeda’s national market access activities across new and existing therapies.
Advance innovative payment schemes, health economics, and evidence-based solutions to close reimbursement gaps.
Insights & Analysis
Stay ahead of trends, policies, and competitor strategies impacting Dutch healthcare and Takeda’s therapeutic areas.
Understand the Dutch healthcare system, guidelines, and decision-making processes to navigate challenges effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with commercial, medical, and global teams to optimize brand plans for market access in the Netherlands.
Provide strategic input on business and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
SKILLS and COMPETENCIES
Strategic thinker with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Adaptable, results-driven, and capable of managing complex dynamics.
Strong analytical and project management expertise.
EDUCATION, LANGUAGES and EXPERIENCE
University degree / master or Higher Education in natural sciences, business, law, public administration, pharmacy, engineering or medicine
5+ years of experience in national market access roles with strategic and operational expertise.
In-depth knowledge of Dutch healthcare systems, reimbursement processes, and government mechanisms.
Experience with public policy would be a plus
Proven ability to build relationships with key officials and stakeholders.
Dutch (native) and English (fluent)
