The Commercial Lead will be part of an agile team in our organization, focusing on the oncology and rare disease portfolio in the Netherlands. This position is a customer facing role, and reports to the Head of Strategy and Operations.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

  • Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders within the Dutch oncology & rare disease environment to build our position in the selected disease areas.

  • Act as the first point of contact for the account and coordinate cross functional interactions with medical, marketing and access to optimally serve customers’ needs

  • Drive product positioning, adoption and advocacy in the country by identifying customer needs and providing solutions that add value to patients; generate trust and build Takeda’s reputation.

  • Lead the cross functional way of working from analysis to development of innovative strategies into formulation of account objectives, KPI’s and into development and implementation of innovative account/regional tactics that strive to achieve excellence in customer interactions

  • Co-develop and implement short-, medium- and long-term business plans for the assigned brands of Oncology / rare disease in the Netherlands, to optimize profit, revenue and market share opportunities in the short-, medium- and long-term.

  • Co-develop the strategic operational plan with the cross-functional team, drive the commercial strategy and tactics execution utilizing Omni Channel Engagement and co-creation of initiatives, taking into consideration customer segments and profiles.

  • Responsible for driving and achieving the business objectives within the allocated budget

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Strategy and Management

  • Monitor environmental changes, execute launch strategies, and strengthen product positioning.

  • Contribute to the financial plan for the focus team, MRP & LRF, NSPs and total portfolio overview by delivering the necessary field insights

  • Manage accounts by assessing business opportunities and liaising with key stakeholders.

  • Promote Agile Way of Working and track sales performance.

Communication

  • Maintain strong team relationships and KOL networks.

  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and propose solutions to issues.

  • Implement OCE communication approaches.

Risk Management and Control

  • Support the Head of Strategy & Operations in managing the company’s risk profile

  • Utilize market insights to assess business risks and opportunities

  • Proactively identify brand opportunities.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • University degree in commercial, healthcare, or science fields, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with 3 years in oncology, hematology, or rare disease in the Netherlands.

  • Experience with product portfolios, brand marketing, and proven experience with implementing omni-channel marketing.

  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
