Job Description

OBJETIVES:

  • Ensure the physicochemical quality of pharmaceutical products through relevant quality controls.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable national and international standards and regulations, as well as internal quality standards.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for optimization in the laboratory's processes and procedures.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Perform physicochemical analysis of finished drug products. 

  • Control stock of reagents, solutions and titrated solutions. 

  • Knowledge and management of laboratory equipment: HPLC, Karl Fischer, dissolutor test, UV spectrophotometer, coagulometer, SDS-Page, ELISA, etc. 

  • Prepare solutions and reagents from the Quality Control lab. 

  • Verify analytical related documentation. 

  • Support the Analytical Services team in the development and transfer of new Analytical Methods, under global standards. 

  • Draft and periodically update Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) from the QC lab. 

  • Ensure work under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). 

  • Follow current Pharmacopoeias and Takeda Global SOPs

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Education and Experience Requirements 
BS degree or advanced student in Pharmacy, Biotechnolgy, Chemistry or related discipline is preferred.

  • Competency in regulatory and cGMP requirements.

  • English: Fluent written and spoken.

  • Technical Decision-Making: Independently evaluates analytical data and makes critical decisions regarding product release and quality investigations. 

  • Problem-Solving: Identifies and resolves complex technical issues, such as method development, equipment calibration, and out-of-specification results.
