Job Description
Position Overview:
This role extends beyond traditional brand management by offering comprehensive oversight across all product lines and strategically guiding market initiatives at regional levels. The Marketing Lead will play a critical role in equipping Key Account Managers (KAMs) and Brand Leads (BLs) with enhanced marketing knowledge and skills, driving the entire team’s performance and success.
This role will play a vital role in fostering partnerships between Takeda, its customers, and key stakeholders, aiming to build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships that drive Patient-Trust-Reputation-Business. It requires a strategic mindset to supervise and coordinate the design of the Marketing Plan, defining targets and providing insights to support strategic decisions in line with EUCAN Marketing guidelines and all our Business Units´ objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the Strategic Marketing Plan aligning it with Global and EUCAN Brand Strategy and LOC BU´s objectives.
- Input and Feedback: Provide Global/EUCAN integrated brand teams with insights to enhance LOC needs and optimize country brand plans.
- Resource Supervision: Monitor Integrated Brand Team activities and budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently across products and functions.
- Synergy Identification: Identify and exploit synergies within our portfolio and with other functions.
- Forecast Supervision: Oversee sales forecasts and targets, ensuring constant monitoring of market share and turnover.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with medical affairs to implement training programs for sales teams and enhance customer interactions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Design and drive an external stakeholder relationship strategy to enhance portfolio communication.
- Industry Participation: Engage with key customers, attend congresses, and interact with KOLs to reinforce Takeda’s presence in the field.
- KAM Process: Drive the cross-functional key account management process, ensuring regular follow-up.
- Team Leadership: Support the line manager in developing a robust brand team and cultivating team members for future opportunities.
- Relationship Development: Establish effective working relationships across Takeda LOC, specifically with Therapeutic Areas Brand Teams, Market Access, and Medical Departments.
- Team Management: Motivate and develop assigned team members in alignment with company policies.
Country Responsibilities:
- Conveys EUCAN brand vision at Country Level in order to shape a local brand plan aligned to EUCAN plan and strategic planning process to the best extend possible, including local budget allocation
- Responsible for monitoring the brand performance at local level and providing standard KPIs and metrics
- Develop regional brand strategy in alignment with the customers needs and based on Account Plan input from KAM in the respective area
- Presents Business review for local/regional stakeholders during internal/external meetings as aligned with the Business Unit Head
- Develops commercial tactics to drive optimal launch and best brand positioning at local level, aligned with EUCAN brand strategy and Brand positioning
- Leads the development and implementation of customer specific, innovative and value added initiatives to deliver customer needs in close collaboration with Key Accounts Managers and Cross Functional Team and aligned with the Business Unit Head
- Develop a network of customer relationships and implements a stakeholder-specific engagement plan to deliver the brand value proposition
- Reports any Product Quality Complaint and Adverse Event to Pharmacovigilance and Quality Department in due time according with local legislation and internal policies and Standard Operating Procedures
Education, behavioral competencies and skills
Mandatory:
- University degree preferably in marketing , medicine, pharmacy or biological sciences
- Familiarity with the Therapeutic Areas and related customers
- Over 10 years of marketing and sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Alignment with Takeda-ism values.
- Customer orientation (external): explore customer needs and decides/acts accordingly. Anticipates future needs.
- Team player
- Fluency in English (written and spoken), knowledge of Romanian language is a must.
- Driving license

- Advanced analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and visualization.
- Proven ability in developing value-adding solutions with external stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively.
- Launch experience in a similar setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems and treatment pathways.
- Strong networking skills to cultivate collaborative relationships across functions and locations.
