Job Description
As a Patient Services Manager at Takeda, you will identify and engage third-party partners to co-create, deliver, and support patient services that align with patient needs and improve care outcomes. You will establish and maintain trusted relationships with specialized nurses, specialists, and other stakeholders to understand patients’ needs, journeys, and current hospital practices. Acting as an internal ambassador, you will embed a patient-centric mindset within our Belgian Local Operating Company (LOC).
Accountabilities
- Work closely together with the Patient Advocacy manager (CCPAPA department) and build an integrated strategic patient affairs plan aligned with the BU’s and the public affairs department
- Has a good knowledge of the patient journey and patient needs in specific therapeutic areas.
- Together with different stakeholders, create, initiate and pilot new services that add value to medical/nursing practice and ultimately improve patient care. For example:
- Development, implementation and supervision of Patient Support Programs (PSP) and adherence programs.
- Development of patient information material. For example: Shared decision making tools, educational materials,....
- Monitors and maintains a high level of field intelligence to assess, evaluate, interpret and incorporate the currently available programs, as well as unmet needs and requests of internal and external stakeholders and shares them in a compliant manner with relevant business functions
- Develop effective working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders to understand the business requirements for delivery of optimal patient services
- Has knowledge of, is compliant with and has a role model function in the field of legislation and regulations, Ethics & compliance
Key Capabilities:
- Understanding of the regulatory and legal arena for patient support programs and adherence programs
- Excellent understanding of project management, experience in innovative projects is a plus
- Knowledge of the health care system structure and financing
- Ability to work in a matrix organization
- Capable of designing and delivering projects
- Excellent communication skills towards external stakeholders such as nurses and other HCPs
