Job Description

The Opportunity

As a Software Test Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of Veeva Vault and related digital solutions through rigorous validation and testing. You will design and execute test plans, perform functional and regression testing, and coordinate UAT to confirm readiness for deployment. Collaborating with configuration and development teams, you will identify defects, track resolutions, and maintain compliance with GxP and validation standards. Your role is critical in safeguarding system integrity, supporting release readiness, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts for Veeva Vault applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Validate configurations, workflows, and integrations against business requirements and compliance standards.
  • Perform regression and system testing to ensure solution quality and readiness for deployment.
  • Draft test scripts for user acceptance testing (UAT) and support UAT stakeholders for clarifications.
  • Document and track defects and collaborate with development and configuration teams for timely resolution.
  • Support test automation initiatives where applicable, ensuring efficiency and repeatability of test cycles.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation, including traceability matrices, in compliance with GxP and validation standards.
  • Participate in release readiness activities, validating changes introduced by scheduled Veeva product updates.
  • Communicate test results, risks, and quality metrics to project stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or other relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of applicable experience in software testing on agile projects with a focus on test automation (preferably using tools such as Jira, qTest, Vera & Tosca).
  • Experienced with test design and development of scripts.
  • Experienced with set-up and review of test plans.
  • Skilled in creation of traceability matrix.
  • Hand-on experience with regression & functional testing
  • Must have experience with validation testing (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Good to have ISTQB Foundational Level certification and UAT stakeholder management.
